I've read about people saying that DMT has cured heroin addictions, and tons of other things. I am aware of the healing nature of entheogenic drugs. My question is, do you think/ heard of DMT of mushrooms curing trauma? Getting rid of being affected by, or accepting more deeply past events that have happened to a person?

I am very curious as to what you may think? I am also extremely caution about this, because I know the experience can be very upsetting in some way and too intense. Do you think this is a reasonable path to follow to cure side affects of trauma, or do you think that would be wrong? Would the guidance of a shaman be more appropriate? I am scared that it would hurt the person more than doing good.

Any input would be greatly valued! This is of the utmost importance to me!

Much peace and many blessing from a friend!

walter i would say low dose ayahuasca can be healing to a trumatised mind however smoking freebase dmt can traumatise the mind further for those already suffering

however smoking freebase really does lift a weight off ones shoulders if one is ready for the experience , yet you know how powerful this substance is so i would not recommend it to someone traumatised deeply without atleast a year of healing work with ayahuasca which is the single most ecstatic blissfull and healing psychadelic medicine ever

illusions !, there are no illusions
there is only that which is the truth

I have heard stories of people who have received emotional healing through the use of Ayahuasca, vaporized DMT, mushrooms, LSD, Mescaline and Iboga. However, each of these seems to have a unique component in aiding a different kind of trauma.

Speaking merely for myself, the use of mushrooms have made me more accepting towards life in general. Things don't bother me so much any more, and it made me disconnect from earthly possessions. Ayahuasca helped me heal very deep emotional wounds caused by childhood trauma. LSD gave me more profound insights into my life and how my actions influence each other. I can't say anything in regard to vaporized DMT because each time it keeps telling me to come back later. I always smoke a low dose to get a bit of feeling of hyperspace and each time I go in I am being told to explore oral doses more thoroughly before returning.

I do believe that the substance is not the only important factor in this though. The person undergoing the experience should be ready to face their inner demons and they should purely want it without outside pressure. If they in the slightest feel pressured into undergoing the experience it could worsen their trauma.

I personally feel that Ayahuasca is more suitable when working with trauma. Especially a purge can be very helpful to get rid of all these negative thoughts and emotions. I myself have used psychedelics in combination with regular sessions with a psychologist in order to work through my trauma. My psychologist is a former psychonaut and is very understanding towards my curiosity to psychedelics. While the law does not allow psychedelics to be used by mental healthcare professionals he is not against the use of psychedelics as long as they were used wisely and with consideration.

I believe the combination of psychedelics and a psychologist is highly advisable. These people are trained to ask the right questions and help you gain deeper insights into your own mind. Almost no human being is capable of such reflection that they can break dogmatic thinking within themselves. However, it should be noted that psychedelics aren't a fix all. Not every person living in the Western world is capable of dealing with the paradigm shifting properties of psychedelics. Thread careful when the mind of other's are involved.

I wish you good luck.

I believe I have suffered a considerable ammount of psychological and emotional trauma in my life. I have been around extreme trauma, both physical and psychological, all of my adult life, I am 48 years old, I am interacting with the dying and the dead routinely. peolple dying haturally and of sudden trauma.

It has no bearing on my psychedelic experince. At all, tripping is always a very peaceful experience. I have had anxiety while tripping. I have had horrific journeys. I dont relate those bad experiences to my past experiences. I dont get into bad thougt loops because of trauma, or while thinking about it.

MDMA has been used by doctors to treat trauma. It's a very easy and gentle drug.

Do you think that someone who has suffered trauma can experience vaporized DMT the same as someone without? I am just wondering if the dmt will bring the trauma out?

Walter

P.S. Thanks for the feedback! Its been helpful<3

I dont know if it will or wont in your situation. In mine it has not happened, not even a little. I have allot of baggage. Very ugly, violent, sorrow filed baggage.I have put that baggage behind me now and I have moved on. I use psychedelics regularly and have no issues.

I guess what you need to ask yourself is, are you at peace with the trauma..... and the drama that caused it. If you are having issues with that in your sober moments, I would suggest not using psychedelics until you have come to terms and are at peace with yourself over the trauma.

If you are asking if DMT tends to dig up old trauma I would say no. Longer acting psychedelics may if your mind set is contaminated with it, trauma.

Good Luck

Yes I think that is totally possible. The trauma in your past.

Mind Set is the present. Can you clear and calm your mind?

If youre worried about having issues, your mind isnt clear now is it?

If the trauma is caused by DMT then I think not. At least it will take a long time to get over it.

Depends on how often this trauma effects your daily life. If it is only thought of rarely then it is less likely to come up in a trip. However, depending on the degree of trauma, if it was extremely traumatic, even if it has been repressed and forgotten it may be brought brack from the subconscious to the concious VERY thoroughly. This may be painful and scary, but overall I find that the use of psychedelics has helped me to accept my traumas and feel very peaceful. I think it is better to resolve an old trauma than repress it, because there may be some unknown anxiety it causes. I fell 25 feet and broke both of my wrists 3 years ago, I landed flat on the ground. This has haunted my dreams and even my waking conciousness for years. After my journeys with the mushrooms I have relived, and reexamined this trauma. I am lucky to be alive, it is a miracle I didn't break my neck or become paralyzed. One mushrooms trip that was very challenging I was sitting in my bed, lying flat, and I kept feel myself falling straight towards the ground from very high up, I continued falling until I realized it was ok. I can not control my life in its entirety, but when I reach my landing I will be surrounded by loving friends and family.

Do not focus on the event, but the aftermath, the healing and love. The moral lessons that will remain a permanent part of your personality. I wish you luck.
We are surprisingly similar.

I was going to say the exact same thing, MDMA is amazing for trauma, there is a documentary on youtube Extacy rising which features a lady who was gang raped ( poor woman!), after several MDMA sessions she was able to totally overcome her trauma! ... MDMA helped save my relationship with my gf a few years back, using MDMA helped us emphatically go through all of the things that caused disharmony in our relationship, without anger or causing further upset. We worked things out with literally 2 or 3 sessions!

I highly recommend mdma, it works !

peace.
