Moderator can delete, just realized its in the wrong thread.

Hi guys its the first time for me on these forums so let me know if i'm posting this in the wrong section Smile. To be honest I really just need to make sure I'm making/consuming this Ayahuasca as it's meant to be.

To start of with I'd like to say that I've never done psychedelics for the main reason being I've never informed myself and only ever looked at them like 'drugs' and not in the light of 'healing'. Let me explain how this view on Psychedelics(mainly DMT) has changed from bad to good.

A friend of mine returned from a week long retreat of silence and after the silence consumed a 'tea' given to him by one of the masters at the retreat. He told me when he took it, he was definitely under the influence of this tea and the chanting of the master that was close by as he sat down. ''As if he was dreaming while awake in another universe at times'' he stated. What got me interested was that he told me it changed him for the 'good', said it changed the way he looks at life. I was shocked that a 'tea' made of tree bark and some leaves could do so much( I believe he took Ayahuasca with P. Viridis as opposed to Mimosa which is what I'm using).

So I researched that same night online. Found out that DMT was responsible for the trip and came to the conclusion that it can be of good use for a better view on life and not just a 'drug' as its labelled for recreational use. That’s what changed my view on psychedelics, which lead me to some research on what Ayahuasca actually is. Found out how/what its made of and it's history. What's made me consider taking it is that our ancestors consumed Ayahuasca for healing and meditation. After watching these two documentaries its made me believe I as a person could benefit from this 'tea'.

I've always been the one for natural remedies as opposed to prescribed medication and recreational drugs. So knowing its all tree and plants is defiantly good. After some research I've come to understand that Ayahuasca is a healer? But since I've never taken Ayahuasca I don’t know how it heals. Which leads me to my main question. More and more recently I become depressed as aposed to before. I link this depression to my ankle injury which prevents me from playing football/soccer which to me is something I love and right now cant do Crying or very sad (bare in mind I do believe I have melancholy for a long time now since my parents divorced at the age of 9). Does anyone here believe that Ayahuasca can heal depression and anxiety which I have?

Now from some research DMT is probably one of the strongest psychedelic's? Correct me if I'm wrong. So for someone like me that’s never done a psychedelic I have some questions before I take this Ayahuasca as I'v read it can blow your mind.

I'm using this recipe http://www.ayahuasca-info.com/recipes/ with 50g B.Caapi and 12g Mimosa Hostilis.

My Questions
-Is 12g of Mimosa to much for someone that’s never taken a psychedelic considering this is the plant that extracts DMT. I read somewhere online that 3g-5g is fine but not according to this recipe.

-I'm currently making the Ayahuasca and I'm filtering it using a kitchen sieve and not the t-shirt method mentioned. Is this alright? Or does it need to be 'only' liquid for both caapi and mimosa before I start to reduce each liquid?

-My friend had a master near him chanting for the start of his Ayahuasca experience which he said helped reach another state of mind. Is this chant or something similar attainable online? And is it even advisable to have chant/music on while under the influence of Ayahuasca?

-And last question can Ayahuasca relieve me of depression/melancholy, anxiety and even short term memory loss(which I believe was caused from smoking way to much pot at a young age) or am I asking to much from Aya? Or will it face me with my fears for me to fight and overcome and move on?

For those more experienced users that could shed some light on either what to expect and/or what to prepare before my first experience would be greatly appreciated Smile Also I'll be doing this on my own in acouple days.

ps after writing this up I accidently highlighted and deleted it all Crying or very sad

Hey welcome to the forum. I often read these recipes of 12g of mimosa and think wow but then its probably outer bark. If its inner purple pink bark then yes the dosage would be between 2-5g so just make sure you know what kind it is exactly. If you dont id start with 2-3g.

The t-shirt method is fine.

Heres a link to some icaros that people use for aya ceremonys, loads of links in this thread https://www.dmt-nexus.me...spx?g=posts&t=10282

It could help with depression usually does though it could exacerbate it too, nothing's a guarantee with these things. My advice would be to start low and tbh you dont need to add mimosa/dmt to get the healing that ayahuasca/cappi can give. In my personal ayahuasca experiences these things took time, most people go through a lot of misfires and it "not" working but the whole process can be enjoyable and beneficial. Hope that helps!
