I am writing this still under the influence of my first experience with DMT, here in form of Changa. Here I will try try to keep track of my DMT experiences and try to document my progress into this amazing psychedelic.

Today I have finished my first pull of my first DMT-extraction. I researched many psychedelics for years, including DMT, but for long did not start planing a journey on this substance. When I finally ordered and received some root bark, I thought about my extraction for some time. As I had acetic acid, and NaOH, I started a A/B and got myself some naphta. When starting to extract yesterday by pressure cooking acidic root bark, I somehow really wanted to get a pull done. I just based the root bark mix, warmed it up, poured in some naphta, seperated. Then I added acetic acid to the solvent to avoid reducing or freeze precipitation and reduced the extract in the watery solution until dry. Leaving a foresthoney coloured viskous liquid, I figured it would be either some DMT-N-Oxid or some plant waxes, making it probably a bit impure. I resolved in ether, left behind some residuals and put the 150mg of extract on 100mg of Cannabis and 200mg of Salvia leafes. I could see the solvent evaporating on the plant material and some small cristals forming.

I weighted a dose, equivalent to about 30mg of DMT and lit 2/3 of that Dose in a small wodden Pipe I use for Cannabis for years. I exhaled into a bag, to inhale the smoke a second time.
I just barely managed to finish smoking before the DMT and also the Salvia hit. I had a strong Salvia feeling, that was probably mostly responsible for an strong feeling that I just came Home. This was accompanied with strong tryptamine CEVs, in some respects pretty similar to mushrooms, but with other colours, other patterns and other emotions attached. CEVs were mostly on black background. Dancing fractals and a few helixis. Patterns were dominated by reds and greens and yellows and I have no idea what colours. Big grin Always the picture was somehow centered and everything moved in circles around. I was euphoric and amazed and astonished by the beauty of the experience. Pink Floyd was playing in the background. "If" and "Wish you were here" influenced this part of the journey. The music was deep and I heard it like never before, but could really not concentrade because of the flood of information streaming towards me. It influenced me highly but I can not really remember how it was. I think I first have to become acustomed to this state, before I can observe such details. Pleased There was also overload from other body senses. Everything was happening so fast and at once that I could not really perceive much of everything thats going on. On a mushroom trip, you got several hours, in which you can observe one thing after the other. Here it's all at once and somehow faster and more dense. The whole room, everything around me, seemed completly different.
As the first peak subsided, I took my pipe and smoked the rest of the Change, maybe another 10mg of DMT and had immediatly rising effects. The Salvia feeling lasted for several minutes.
My coral reef aquarium was slightly illuminated by artificila moonlight. The rocks including my sleeping coral (well, some are awake at night) dances swirled around, forming smooth, round lines. When slowly becoming weaker, the effects became a very tripy Cannabis high. Slight CEVs continued for maybe an hour. The main effects lasted for about 20 minutes.

I think Cannabis mixed in the Changa gives a nice feeling, but clouds the memory function, therefore it might be a good idea to keep it out. Instead maybe something that raises awareness. ALso I definitly have to add Harmalas. I have a nice extract in form of Xtals in a drawer. The short duration definitly needs to be prolonged.

Finishing this reportabout , I still have a nice high and a feeling that I definitly have to aim at breakthrough. I really need to get a new bowl for my vaporizer, and also some sort of portable voice recorder to capture immediate impressions.

I will try to correct this a bit tommorrow, but I don't think I can add much. More after my next journey. Big grin

PS. Got to remember to dekorate the ceiling with some psychedelic stuff, maybe make some colourfull art for it.

PPS. I remember seeing a humanoid figure for a brief moment, maybe 20cm in height. Smile i could not recognize much, but something was present.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Thanks for taking the time to write this out Nicita Smile
It sounds like it was an interesting journey for you... when you say it had salvia effects, was there salvia mixed in there with it?

Yeah I know what you mean about it being like a compressed mushrooms trip.. I get the same feeling myself, though dmt feels more "certain" in its message. There seems to be less room for interpretation during the actual experience-you are there with it, your individed attention towards it... its not really until after that you have time to "think" about what just went down. Its a very now kind of experience. the rabbit hole sure goes deeper so I wish you luck on your future journeys. The breakthrough really is something else.. I had my first n a few months lastnight and I was mind/soul blown.. with love Smile

oh, and I think you should listen your intuition there about maybe not mixing it with cannabis. Myself and many others seem to find the same thing, that it clouds the message a bit behind the experience. I find cannabis to be quite a "thinking" substance.. good for reflection and very thought provoking, but I'm not sure thats what you really want in a dmt experience. To me anyways, it seems of upmost importance with dmt to really pay attention and look at what its showing you, without the cannabis contemplation laden on top.

Hello acaian,

yes there was Salvia in the Changa. I mixed 150mg of extract with 100mg of self grown Cannabis and 200mg of self grown Salvia. Smile The Salvia will definitly stay in my next mix, the Cannabis will go out. Its really not a good combination.

The trip really left a good impression and im looking forward to the next sessions.

Attached a photo of my aquarium by night. Big grin

Glad to read it turned out well! Smile

It's common to read comments like yours regarding cannabis in changa, or cannabis and spice. I agree with you personally, I think cannabis does not belong to changa and I also agree that salvia is an awesome addition, specially if you get along with salvia itself. MOST specially if you grew it Thumbs up

The lightning fast speed of the visuals is quite familiar... if you want alternatives to cannabis keeping the base idea, you can try to blend some pacifying herb along with the salvia. I've tried and liked blue lotus, passiflora and pau d'arco.

Keep us posted!

Nice trip report Nicita. I look forward to more.

Yeah, I'm a chronic cannabis consumer but I don't put it in changa and I wait until I'm down from smoking cannabis before trying a DMT launch. For sure for me, cannabis in the mix really makes memories difficult to grasp. They literally just flutter away in a flurry of short term memory loss. I've even watched them doing it synaesthetically - flying out of my head never to be thought again, LOL.

Good changa herbs for me include heavy amounts of b. caapi leaf, heavy on the blue lotus, medium on passionflower and mullein, low on lavender and just a pinch of peppermint.

As your smoking technique and other factors (you mentioned a desire to add harmalas) improve I am confident you will find yourself going deeper into hyperspace.

Please keep us posted.

Today my second launch with a new Changa. I prepared a single dose, about 30mg of DMT with 40mg of Salvia. One special ceremonial item was added today. I spend much time of the last few days working on a beechwood pipe. I am nearly finished now and it is already fit for using. It has wings on the side of the bowl, one single eye at the front and a double helix spiraling down the pipe. Big grin Unfortunatly the batteries of my camera went out, otherwise I would have attached a photo. But I will add one in the following days.
I loaded my Changa in silence and darkness, since I did not want to be distracted this time. I sat one the couch and lit the pipe. While still draging the smoke in, the vision blurred and the already familiar feeling of DMT kicked in. While initially I had the feeling I would need to exhale very fast, I was able to hold it down for a surprisingly long time without trouble. After I did not feel the need to exhale, I decided to do so at a certain point because I started to worry about my oxygen supply. Has someone experienced a suppresion of the breathing reflex while smoking DMT?
Like the first time, fast and colourfull CEVs appeared and I felt a noticable difference because I did not add Cannabis. It was easier to concentrate and remember aspects. However it was still a very fast change in patterns and I could only remember fraction of the things going on. The room around me felt alive and everything was somehow changed but still the same. Again the whole experience was over very fast and did not give me much time to think and reflect. When the effects subsided, I lay on the couch and thought about myself and the life I am living and occasionally closed my eyes to observe the vanishing tryptamine patterns.
It was a very joyfull trip that left me wanting to go deeper. The next time I will add harmalas both in the Changa and sublingual beforehand. Also I will raise the dose to about 50mg. Maybe this will be enough for breakthrough. Smile

I am just comming from the shower after an emotionally intense journey.
I loaded my pipe with enhanced Salvia leaves, containing 30 - 35mg of DMT. My first toke caused slight morphing, a blurred vision, CEVs of uncoloured moving shapes. A second toke, finishing the bowl caused an explosion of colouful frakal pattern. Helical snakes were a very prominent part of these visions. Then suddenly a lot of pain and sorrow struck down on me...
I am currently living in a long term relationship (more than four years). We are loving each other but it is becoming more and more evident, that we expect different things in life and can not cope with a lot of each others behaviour. Arguments about this tend to be very emotional and little constructive and I am holding myself back a lot of times in order that make this work somehow. Also I seldome allow myself to think to much about it. And now everything was coming down on me at once.
I was lyeing down crying, with all these implications and suddenly unrestricted feelings and at the same time seeing all these wonderful pattern, reminding me of all the beauty that is in the world.
After the effects started to fade out, I went to the shower and sat down, letting the water fall on me like rain and meditated to get back to a balanced state of mind.

Anyone who says you can take psychedelics to run away from problems has no idea what hes talking about. Laughing

Enclosed pictures of my pipe. Before anyone asks, I am not using that Zippo for DMT because of the permanent flame.

I had e few low level experiences in the meantime, but until today nothing important to add. Now I think I came close to breakthrough. ~40mg in an electrical baloon vaporizer. Lying on the bed some sort of Barrier came down on me and pressed against me, but I could not pass through it. Also quite some strange faces in the CEVs. And somehow very alive and organically moving structures in the (mostly black and white) patterns. I captured an impression in a scetch, unfortunatly I could not remember and replicate all the details and had to gues a lot.Big grin Immagine all in sharp black and white and all these lines moving around the general shape of the object.
First time I scetched something in some years... Have to do this more often.
I really have to combine with harmalas and get a higher dose / more efficient vaporizer.

Edit: Hm, forgot to get it in a decent format, How can edit the attachment?Embarrased
