Hello, so I am a newcomer to this forum and would like to say hello to everyone. I'm no veteran to hyperspace so I'm not entirely familiar with the whole process of breaking through. What I do know is I have some powdery changa that doesn't work too well. I get a little bit of an effect (dreamy, body high) but I do not have the familiar intensity that I've been accustomed to with DMT. Is it due to the fact that the changa is simply weak, or just not made properly. I am wondering whether changa is supposed to be very powdery, or that the other batch I have had some weird changa that looked silverish and was solidified.

Does this seem out of the ordinary for changa, and if so how should I go about this. Whether I should simply take more (I have been getting some effects, although they are blunted) or should I give up on this batch.

Thanks everyone and happy travels.

Hello nautilus92,

Your description of the changa sounds weird... I don't know if you have already checked the entry of Changa in the Wiki or the Guide to Enhanced Leaf, but changa should not be powdery, much less silverish and solidified. Changa is supposed to look like a blend of herbs (not too ground herbs) with a slight yellow-to-light-brown resin attached to it, but even if they looked like that, you cannot tell for sure.

I get from your message that you have not prepared that changa yourself, and your concerns are one of the reasons why people prepare their own changa. Unless you perform an extensive analysis, or unless a friend shared with you his recipe, there is no way to know what's in a changa blend you haven't made yourself.

Personally, I would NOT smoke mixes that look strange and don't know what they have in them. If you are interested in trying changa, making your own is easy and will dispel any major doubts.

Yeah, its a bit different from the last batch I had, but I still get slightly psychedelic effects from it which suggest that this batch can work. Should I try just doing more? The person I got these from is trustworthy, and I believe that this batch isn't tainted by any means. Could it just be too old?

The contents of changa can be extremely variable, depending on the proportion of herbs vs. spice, and harmalas added, if any. If the changa you have has been properly made, it might have less proportion of spice in it than you are used to, hence requiring a larger amount to ingest the same dose of actives.

But in any case, and sorry to repeat myself, I wouldn't smoke a high dose of a changa blend I had not prepared myself or someone who I really trust. I would rather prepare my own batch, and I encourage you to. But if you are sure the mix you have is safe, and want to try it again, be very careful when increasing the amount. When dosing changa you should know the proportion of DMT in it so you can adjust the dosage, if you are unsure of the proportions you should be careful.
