How do you plan on preserving/storing all of that? Wouldn't want to see it go to waste from it going bad.
A dramatic shift approaches...

I'm with Vodsel on this one, quid it up! Pleased

I became much more interested in this plant and ROA after listening to Kat Harrison speak on the subject via podcast. She wrote a piece titled The Leaves of the Shepherdess that might be useful reading for anyone interested in the Mazatecan usage. I suspect jamie and others are probably already familiar with it, along with a talk she gave on indigenous plant wisdom, but I wanted to share.

jamie: How many plants did you harvest from and over what length of time?

"Becoming a person of the plants is not a learning process, it is a remembering process. Somewhere in our ancestral line, there was someone that lived deeply connected to the Earth, the Elements, the Sun, Moon and Stars. That ancestor lives inside our DNA, dormant, unexpressed, waiting to be remembered and brought back to life to show us the true nature of our indigenous soul" - Sajah Popham.

I store it in a couple large containers at the back of my herb cabinet..salvia will last for a long time this way...I dont think it really degrades much at all in a dakr place away from light. Ive been growing it and storing it this way for years.

That harvest was not all at once haha..I could have a harvest like that if I wanted to but I personally dont harvest my plants for leaf really ever unless taking cuttings..I just let them grow till they are ready for cutting. You have to take a couple leaves from the bottom of the cutting where its gunna root so thats the only time I harvest leaf. They also drop some leaf here and there all the time on the floor or my deck as they grow so I just take them too..even the dried up dead leaves they sometimes drop whiling growing indoors are potent.

Right now I have about 20 plants maybe more..but they are between like 10 pots. Some are little baby cuttings others are larger more established. All origionating from the same one mother plant I got like 6 years ago...I often just stick a couple cuttings into one pot.

My plants just veg slowly indoors now till about end of april start of may, when they go back outside..then they grow like crazy again..then another harvest over the summer like that..maybe more even.

And yeah..I quid it every month or 2..have not smoked in years really but Im gunna make some extract with that powdered leaf in the container..thats 40g of leaf in there so I might make 4g of 10x..or just extract crystals..not sure. Been a long long time sinse I smoked salvia extract. Most often I quid it with a bit of ayahuasca, or some sort of low dose tryptamine. Sometimes I quid it alone, but 2-3 leaves on top of some ayahuasca is one of the best trips.

That makes your pile even more impressive! Shocked Your methods sound very gentle, no wonder the plants love you Very happy Thanks for explaining your uses of the plant, I really learned a lot from your post. I'm intrigued by the low dose tryptamine and quid combo. Would you mind elaborating on the experience?

Yes I am doing that also. I only tried tincture once, back like 7 years ago probly before I started growing my own and it never worked..It tasted nothing like salvia though and was clear so I dunno what thats about but I suspect some people are selling mint flavored water as salvia tincture based on my experience with that stuff.
