Thanks for all of your hard work TravelerThumbs up

It looks so crisp and clean. I love how the interface isnt chaotic like the Shroomery. The DMT-Nexus has an intelligent, functional, clean vibe. Awesome job!
I am completely convinced that there is a wealth of information built into us, with miles of intuitive knowledge tucked away in the genetic material of every one of our cells. Something akin to a library containing uncountable reference volumes, but without any obvious route of entry. And, without some means of access, there is no way to even begin to guess at the extent and quality of what is there. The psychedelic drugs allow exploration of this interior world, and insights into its nature. - Shulgin

what a shock, lol. In general it looks real good and I like it. But one thing bothers me, and perhaps there is a solution.

On my screen the layout of the forum is HUGE and one subforum almsot fills the entire screen. It takes forever to scroll down to the bottom, which wasn't the case before. The font of the subforum name is much bigger than necessary IMO. In the attachment you can see what I mean.

granted I use a small netbook, so on regular screens it might be more user-friendly, but for me this is a bit annoying... I checked google chrome and firefox and both look the same, so I don't think it's a bug, but hey... I've been wrong before.

Enoon...In Chrome try Settings>Zoom and reduce to 90%...I have the same problem and the zoom down helps... Font could be a point lower tho. Love

looks good! well done trav

my only quibbles are:

the banners do look a wee bit smaller

are there less topics listed in the active discussions? It was nice when there was a bit more (maybe the font is just tricking my eyes and it didn't change)

I can see what Enoon is talking about... Especially on the left column there is a lot of open space, making for a very vertically tall layout. One way of compactifying it would be to make the mini-avatars a little smaller, then the three lines of text to their right could be compacted to two (first line: topic title; second line: last time added to by name of user). This may make the mini avatars too small to read, though, and that's a new feature that I really like. Tricky to find that balance between keeping it compact without making it crowded.

Layout looks nice, Trav, good job! Only thing I miss is the "Home" link for the thread sections. Will take some getting used to.

it looks very groovy Trav good work.

i agree with universecannon in that the list of active topics seems a bit short now.

Also i click on the suns and it just takes me to the end of the thread not to the last unread post. Have i got this right? should it take me to the end of the thread or to the newest post since i last read the thread?

The new layout truly is lovely and it has an element of order which is incredibly neat and refreshing. I think this layout will be far more functional and pleasant to navigate. Brilliant work as always...

I have changed the layout a small bit. I have put the last poster and the datetime on the same line and now each subforum line is only 45 pixels high instead of 55 pixels.

I hope this helps a bit.

(you will probably need to force refresh your browser with F5 to load the new style sheet correctly)

The banners are the exact same size as they were before, optical illusions for the win!

And I had put the amount of active topics back from 24 to 10. That might have been a bit too much and now I have put it to 15, so lets see if that is enough.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

The appearance is much easier on the eyes. That being said it is something that will take getting used to but once you do I think it's a considerable improvement. Thumbs up

I really like that user icons on the main page showing the last person to post. I myself am quite visual and tend to remember a person by that icon more so than their username. With this new set up I can see who is posting and the subject and thus it makes it easier for me to sort through posts. I tend to follow certain people more than subjects so I like that feature a lot.

I'm also loving it, great job Traveler!

I like especially this feature where you press ALT+F4 and you get all these trippy visuals around the forum background!
