I have had awesome-wonderful experiences with a pipefull of liana bark,on a medium dose of psilocybe mushrooms, one in particular i will remember,is when around comedown,i inhaled the smoke, deeply, and closed my eyes in awe of the ecstasy it gave me,and there,in deep space saw this row with ghostly lit faces of african tribal, women with smoke coming out of their mouths, and eyes closed in ecstatic expression, just like myself, simultaniantly.
They looked *sculpturesque, but the smoke slowly drifting from their parted lips, told me they where very much alive and enjoying a decent puff.
It was the kind of smoke you dont want to let go of,because it is soo good, and 5 minutes, maybe ten,you surface, and realise theres still smoke in your lunges. And thats when you have the cough-purge of the month, its tough, but its good, the kind of cough that makes you a man,or a woman,if thats your cup of tea.

*Sculpturesque,statuesque.

Psilocybin starts to break down and oxidize at Temperatures of about 170°c
It's not so much the heat that "kills" psilocybin but the presence of heat and air will degrade your mushrooms quickly. I'm not discounting your experience but I'll say it's highly unlikely the mushrooms had much to do with it. Maybe a placebo effect or something else was going on I can be certain. Also inhaling fungal spores is bad for ones lungs hence the cough you speak of. I'd advise not doing it again that's why you don't hear too many stories of people smoking shrooms, but to each his own.

Have fun but most importantly be safe.

I'm pretty sure he was smoking caapi bark, while on an oral dose of fungus. I have heard of extracted psilocybin being a potent smoke and have longed to try this after reading the Carlos Castenada book and I actually smoked quite a bit of myshrooms to no avail.

Yea man, am a real fan of smoking caapi on mushrooms. I smoked dried leaves on 3 grams of shrooms and it seemed to intensify the visuals for a few minutes with each hit. Very enjoyable way to come down from the fungus. Left me with a sort of euphoria when I came inside from hitting 3 solid bowls of caapi. Really made the trip.

I've never tried smoking vine...I wonder if its more/less effective than dried leaf?
In the province of the mind what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experimentally and experientially. When so found these limits turn out to be further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind there are no limits. However, in the province of the body there are definite limits not to be transcended.-J.C. Lilly

Thanks Smile

Ya,ive had rue tea,and love the calming effects before a cup of mushrooms, whose profound energy and power easily makes me slightly jumpy & panicing.
I would love to take it more frequently, for meditation and all round medicine
but im a coffee and dark chokolate freak,so i have to respect this one.
