Hey everyone. New to the forums, long time lurker.

I had previously smoked DMT 5 times but haven't had a break through experience until now. I'm not new to psycedelics, I've done over LSD about 50 times, mushrooms and salvia a bunch of times as well. All my other DMT trips I've remained on earth but had intense visions stronger than LSD and psilocybin, but none of those experiences could prepare me enough for what I encountered. I have trouble remembering the majority of it, but I remember I was struggling breaking though this being. It looked similar to this: but with antenna. It had to be the most frightening, overwhelming, but astonishing experience. I can't even describe the place I was in but it was totally completely alien and unlike here. I had smoked a .2 of changa, that had 333mg of freebase per gram. I was out of this reality for 15 minutes before coming back but I remember very little past the intense visuals and that Insect alien face. During my trip I was worried that the time in this realm was much different than reality, so I began to sketch myself out thinking I would be trapped here for quite some time. I started to question the nature of our conciousness. I eventually gave up to the face and got sucked into it. Something inside began to open up and it was like pink flesh beginning to come out? It was not a pretty sight.. Flesh? I don't even know what it was.. but it was peeling open and I went through it; (I think.. ). My good friend that was sitting me said I was laughing and looking around the room but I don't remember any of this. I remember coming back to reality completely in shock of what I had just seen. I was so amazed how such different places were possible. It felt like I was fighting off the "being" for at least half of my trip, or so it seemed. The majority of the color in the realm was orange, yellow and red, but when I did come back to the real room I was in before I had taken it, it was still completely alien. It was block-like? Lego, pyramid style, with a reddish tint with patterns all over the room as well. My sitter looked insect like as well. I don't usually like looking at other human beings while I'm on psychdelics. I've experienced the same sort of thing on LSD, but the normal reality was still much more intense than an LSD trip but I was relieved I was back to my friends. I have anxiety naturally to go back and face what I had seen, even though I'm facinated by this chemical and want to see more of this amazing realm.

Was I analyzing the trip too much? Any advice on how to push through that thing earlier? I didn't feel a sense of love from like I've read from many trip reports.

Your experience reminded me of my own fist breakthrough For some time I thought I would never be able to integrate what I just saw/experienced, and this feeling troubled me quite a bit for some time. Reading through DMT-nexus site taught me, eventually, that such experiences were quite ´normal´. In other words: welcome to the DMT world...

Concerning the "pink openings", I don´t know.... My own personal lesson from Sigmund Freud has been "don´t over-interpret" things :-)

Also, "feelings of love" etc... may not always be the case on DMT... (for me, encounters with the DMT world has been NOT ALWAYS "feelings of love". I mean don´t count on other people´s trip-reports too much, DMT is VERY individual experience.

"Liam709", just give your "integration" some time - don´t push too much meaning onto it, just give it some time to settle down (this "method" helped me personally a lot). And don´t forget to keep in touch with the DMT-nexus community!

Thanks for the replies. I'm definitely going to have to go back sometime the week once I have some time and let you know how it goes this time around.

The next night after I experienced my break-through I actually experienced my first flashback too? I'm not quite sure if it was because I was thinking about it too much or not. But it definitely was more like LSD. I noticed this when I began to read out trip reports to a buddy of mine, and the text on the screen started pulsating bold to italic.. Which is very common for me when I'm under the influence of LSD. My perspective changed.. From my peripheral vision, my arms seemed very far away. My heart started racing and I couldn't stand up very long without getting dizzy.

What caused this? Has anyone had something similar happen before?

During my last DMT 16mg trip. I had intense colour visuals then I thought I would open my eyes. I was like far back from me, but still in me. It was like my feet were far away and everything was shiny. Even though it was pretty dark (light coming through a very thick curtain but still dark), I could still see a shine gloss on everything.

No flashbacks though, but the far away effect I had during my trip.

I don´t think it was a "DMT flashback". I haven´t heard/read anyone having "true flashbacks" caused by their DMT travels. However, have a look at:

I would assume that your "weird feelings" might have been caused by other cause. You said you dropped acid in the past... and "flashbacks" after acid aren´t that uncommon, are they?

Tonight will be the night I am finally going to dip my toes into the unknown since my first breakthrough. Im hoping it will be as astonishing but maybe a bit more welcoming.. but time will have to tell. Hopefully I don't get frightened with the life shattering come up. I haven't taken any DMT since my last experience so I'm anxious naturally.

This is SO similar to my first and only breakthrough, everything you described seemed so spot on with my experiences, alien, weird, unimaginable. I usually never see any beauty or love with DMT, it's always completely freaky. I can't help but be jealous of others cool experiences..
