I decided to finish off my last bit of spice (which I probably won't have again for some time). Not expecting anything since trying multiple times before and not having a 'breakthrough' experience. I was stunningly surprised.

I managed to make notes immediately as I could handle a pen.
Came up with this:

qwwweeee erngyergnnyyyeerrrghnnn woaahahehahehahhahhohoh neerrernegeng

whishwhopop

room opened geometrically guiding entity experience divine power sex irrelevant body irrelevent mind everthing breakthrough eyes open wonder soul fulfilled replenished

I can't emphasize enough how just the strange sounds affected me. Also this was the only time I kept my eyes open (although I'm not even 100% sure I believe them anymore).

I visualized a concept of beings with complex wires and cords running through them and energy zapping the surroundings frequently. All made up of the walls of my room which turned into colorful geometric circuits with literally 0 gravity. I had minimal spatial awareness, I still had the concept in my mind that I was in a room sitting in a chair but it seemed so ridiculous and hard to understand. I felt more comfortable in the weird alien world that the trip showed me and had a hard time understanding the 'concept' of where I am in 'reality'.

Haha, wow reading that over now really feels silly.

Dear Colourwind,

...is the best description of a breakthrough experience I read in a long time. Really.

Yes, DMT can be very dramatic... No. It is ALWAYS a dramatic experience. Especially the "first time" can be a truly shattering experience, because it has power to question everything we have taken for granted. It can questions our commonsensual reality as ´the only´ reality...

And I think many of us here can completely relate to your feelings. Most of us went through similar confusion, frustration, awe etc...(all mixed together). After my first breakthrough, I thought something like "shit, this was a big mistake!" After giving it some time, however, after not pushing too much meaning onto it and letting it settle down a bit, I changed my mind. "It wasn´t a mistake. It was one of the most important turning points in my (spiritual) life."

No, it is not silly at all. I am sure many people who have been there can relate to your experience.

Ha ha! That sounds amazing Thumbs up I agree, the sounds alone are something quite remarkable. Welcome back! Big grin

I find it ironic and comforting that I tried and failed so many times and was rewarded on my last bit of spice... Made the experience so much more sentimental. The last thing I'd want is to leave the world of dmt on a superficial note!

A question for those who have tried LSD:

Which was more memorable to you? First LSD trip or first breakthrough?

People are always saying how the dmt experience is more intense and I agree, but it is offset by the short duration and I'm left not remembering much of it. (I really wish I could remember more).

Something tells me I don't have enough experience to compare the two though.

Anyway, I enjoyed my final visit to the other world (at least for the foreseeable future) and hope to make the best out of my current place in the world.

Thank you guys for all the info posted on this site as well!

DMT was more memorable by far. LSD is a better tool for learning in my opinion, but the experience is far less intense at reasonable levels (3-4 hits). IME, LSD will alter reality, DMT will take you to a completely new one. If you use the spice correctly, every experience is out of body.

I don't think your trip report was silly. I thought it was great. And very evocative of the breakthrough experience.

I hope it does not have to be your last, but I am aware there is a bark shortage currently. Do be sure to check the wiki for various extraction teks. You may find something that interests you . . .
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."
