okay,so i'm not sure if i was fully broken through or not on both of my experiences. The first time was just about a week ago. I loaded up my personal vaporizer. I lit my lighter and let it fill with smoke. Inhaled slowly and upon fulling inhaling my first true hit of dmt my body got a little relaxed. started the second chamber full and again inhaled. My body started buzzing and again i was even more relaxed. it was at this point i barley had any strength left but i filled the chamber again. Whilst inhaling, the humming inside my head began to spread through my whole body. The closest thing i can compare it to the the "TH" mantra that many use to help awaken the third eye. I had no strength whatsoever but i told my wife that i'm almost there... but i cant hold it. She lit it for me and held it to my mouth. This hit was the most intense thing i've ever experienced in my whole life! As i was inhaling everything in the room exploded into fully formed crystals. it was like the crystals grew over everything in sight. My body became one with the humming as i closed my eyes and the most beautiful colors and sounds were all around me. I saw what appeared to be a strange system of gears inside a crystalish type building. this seemed to last forever then i was in front of a strange liquid metallic wall and there was writing "flowing" through the liquid. then there where what seemed to be millions of whispers in my mind. I couldn't make out what they were saying but they were repeating the same thing. over And over again. at this point my physical body took on a meditative position: crossed leggs and thumbs touching index finger, palms up. mentally all i felt/saw was my spirit or soul or just me, i'm not really sure, and then it was like i became one with everything. energy rose from my feet all the way up and upon reaching my crown chakra there was a burst of energy and my physical body stretched upward and my head fell back like it was allowing all good energy in. then it was like i was being transported away from the whole galaxy. the stars in the milky-way were more so being pulled away from me. again the whispers were still repeating the same thing. the come down was happening at this point. I slowly opened my eyes for a brief moment to see where i was. the room was still filled with crystals and my wife was watching me. I asked how long i was gone and she said 5 minutes. I was expecting something like this. i knew that through all the things i've read it can seem like so long. the visuals started to fade for a little while and when i was reaching the bottom of the trip i burst into tears of happiness. My wife asked how long and all i could say was it was so beautiful. and it was but the thing is i know there was more to what i've written. i know it for a fact but i cant remember it. i don't know exactly what was so beautiful. i cried about the beauty for half an hour.

my second experience was only a couple days afterwards when i wanted to find out what it was that was so beautiful. it was overwhelming my thoughts. So i prepared to go again. This time was different though. i used the same amount and was able to hold the bottle on my own. i took 4 large tokes like last time and was sent immediately to the twisting gear-like structure. the humming was all around me again. this time though things seemed to go a little slower. this time with the humming there was music playing. a music so beautiful that it brought about a most powerful sense of love. just to note the music kept playing through my whole trip. after the gear-like machine i then began flowing through a wormhole and on it there were writings. i could make out that the writings must have been of a language much older than that of Sumerian writings... so strange. the metallic silver liquid appeared again. i noticed that it wasn't really writings in the liquid... it seemed more like there was an infection in it. like something was crawling through veins and that maybe this material was actually alive itself. the whispering started again. a little bit louder than last time but still unable to distinguish what it was saying. i started to come down. i opened my eyes and everything was back to normal except i could still hear the music until about an hour after the trip. then i couldn't remember it at all. It was constantly playing in my head and now all of a sudden nothing... i cant remember it at all and it feels like a part of me has been lost. this trip was just yesterday. and since this last one my mind feels dramatically worn. so very tired. i slept from 5 am to around 4 pm and that really inst normal. around 8 i was ready to fall asleep again but then i could smell the dmt... i can feel it in me. like its calling to it. like there is something being kept secret from me that i'm meant to find. and i will find it. but what could be so important that the other dimensions were trying to whisper it to me. actually now that i think of it... it was like the whole hyperspace was whispering to me. not entities...

Sounds like a couple of incredible first experiences! I know how you felt coming out of that first one and only being able to exclaim how beautiful it was!

Words fail to to explain the depth of this interstellar beauty!

Enjoyable read!

Sounds like you had a blast.....

The rabbit hole goes way deeper yes it's true....do you feel like youv'e had enough?

OR have you just begun to thirst for more knowledge?
And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not percieve the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, "brother let me remove the speck from your eye", when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye?-Yeshua ben Yoseph

I know this is just the beginning for me. My mind has felt so worn from the first two experiences so close together that i feel i should wait a little while. But just the smell of dmt last night made me desire to go back immediately. I started my journey to find dmt on my own because i have an un-ignorable desire to further my experience in this area. I almost need to go as far as dmt is possible of taking me. and knowing there is no limit just makes my heart race pushing me to spend every waking moment i have in hyperspace. The first experience i had i was unable to move or look about freely in any way. the second though it was like i was gaining the ability. Im guessing this is natural?

Yes, this is natural.

You never get "comfortable" with hyperspace (not at any high doses anyway), but you do get familiar with it. Maybe comfortable is not the right word, because on a great journey it can feel like a 5 star wellness cruise on a galactic starliner...

I suppose what I really mean is that it never becomes routine or boring... no matter how many lift offs one may have it is never something you get blasé about.

But yeah... like most things, with experience comes some degree of skill. Navigating hyperspace with precision is possible, but it takes an inner calm, a great deal of focus, intention and willpower. But it is doable. I recommend taking up meditation of some kind.

Welcome to the ranks of psychonauts... and to the Nexus.

So you're saying with practice it can become something similar to lucid dreaming?

Lucid Dreaming and Journeying In Hyperspace certainly have a number of things in common.

Naturally, the intensity and overall psychedelic earth-shattering aspects of spice are on another level generally speaking, but having been in a lucid dream on more than one occasion and then chosing to smoke DMT... and having it work like gangbusters... certainly blurs that line a bit as well for me.

In fact, even in non-lucid dreams, I have been able to smoke DMT or use other entheogens. 80% of the time, they work pretty much how I would expect them to... but they do sometimes provide atypical effects (which I may or may not even notice). Certainly leaves some heady questions about all of this.

Anyway, what I can say is that the mental abilities you develop in mediation and dreaming are applicable to traversing hyperspace. They actually help with everything you could ever do in life IMO... including all manner of tripping. This is because you are exercising an gaining control over your mind... the vehicle which you use to experience everything.

And yes... if you have enough focus and intent you can will yourself to different areas, summon specific entities, and otherwise be pretty lucid in that wondrous realm.

I had another experience. The only thing I have to ask though is why does it seem like every time I go to exactly the same location? Also it seems that I'm not remembering the majority of my trips. I wouldn't say that I'm taking too much at all. I haven't any method for measuring out my dose at this point but I know that I must be going far. I lose all connection with my body and siece to have a conscious mind of my own. Like I become one with everything. I've heard myself asking "what are you saying" or what do you want? And my last trip I opened my eyes on my own and said to my wife "he said to take more". And I did. It's a blank though other than some very vivid visuals. It seems the more time that goes by I get flash backs of I stances in the trip. Is this normal? And finally, how frequently would be too frequently? I only ask because I almost desire to be meditating in hyperspace at all times...

1) Going to the same location is a common experience... especially on the way up and on the way back. Many of us refer to this interim place as a kind of launch waiting room. It is generally a very distinct part of hyperspace and often has one or more entity guides who try and help you prepare for the higher levels and cheer you on.

2) Naturally this is different for everyone, and I find that this "borderlands" area is different based on different spice. Pure white crystals take me to a more clean, streamlined waiting room... more sci-fi and a lot like being aboard a familiar spaceship of super aliens. Jungle spice takes me to a place that is more fantasy sci-fi with a special distinct pallet of colors. Changa has its own folding rooms zone, and even yellow spice is different. Chemical analysis of the differences between these DMT samples doesn't show what would be a significant enough change to have such repeatably different effects, but does suggest that the pre-breakthrough rooms are produced to some extent by the substance. I might even ascribe to a purely chemical reaction model if I wasn't able to exert my willpower and choose to go to other rooms, wander the halls, pick random doors and journey through them.

3) Memory I am convinced that this is another aspect of spice that mirrors dreaming. Even experienced dreamers only remember a small fraction of their actual dreams in a given night... with unpracticed dreamers (especially those who wake up to alarms and become immediately busy with responsibilities or those who consume a lot of cannabis before bed) often remembering nothing. And, of the stuff you do bring back from your oneirological travels, even vivid dreams can melt and evaporate into thin air if you don't write them down or develop some mnemonic abilities.

All of this holds true for heavy entheogenic experiences... especially spice, salvia and the dissos. Thankfully, it is possible to train your recall. It is also possible to record your trips or have a sitter take notes. My recall is affected by my use of nootropics, vitamins, and neurotransmitters as well. Basically supplements that help in dreaming or cognition generally help with tripping, but be very careful with supplements in conjunction with Aya. Be sure that whatever you are taking is MAOI compliant or just refrain.

Anyway, in time, it is possible to develop powerful recall, expanded awareness, and remarkable navigation abilities. Practice meditation when you are not high. If you get friendly guides teaching you shit... listen and put their advice to use. Don't overdo your spice use. If anyone you encounter in hyperspace feels that you are not respectful enough, are not learning or digesting what they showed you before, or simply find you helpless and spaced out... you might get hyperslapped. That is something you don't want. Trust me.

That's about it. Take baby steps, don't be in any rush, and stay positive. Whatever you do, don't blast off with any negative emotions in your mind.

Be well,
HF

This is my first post on this forum, but I'm well experienced in both Hyperspace and Meditation. I would like to commend Hyperspace Fool on his sound advice. The advice is important and will help you get the most out of your experiences. Advice such as this would have been a great help to me when my journey began, and is also helpful to read now as reinforcement. HF's closing statements are particularly important in my view. One must have utmost respect and regard for the planes reached and beings encountered. Always do your best to interpret the experience and don't let your head get big. I speak from experience - being hyperslapped (nice term Smile) is a real reality check! One should delve into meditation as well if taking things seriously. It is key to spiritual growth and helps one to understand the body's energy system. You may also have discoveries through meditation which allow you to understand aspects of your hyperspace adventures more clearly. Also, always remember your body is an extremely complex biological machine, and your ability to tap into higher planes from this body not only depends on your state of consciousness, but also the health of your machine. Rushing and over-doing it can certainly have an effect on your body. Having respect for your body, and keeping it in optimum health can help you reach higher planes than ever before. I understand some of this was repetitive from HF's post, but man it is really good advice!

I mostly go to the same place but I smoked in the sun once and it was a completely different spacescape. Big grin

Last night was my most amazing trip so far! I was brought to this vividly bright colorful room and it was like i was getting mass amounts of data uploaded into my brain about the human species. there was a male human being scanned it almost seemed like and all the information the scanner was able to get was uploaded to my mind. It was so intense. Before that though there was such a long period of time that there was this voice talking to me saying why are you holding onto the physical world in this place? So i realized how tense my body was in reality. I was able to relax and amazing amount and the trip then seemed to feel so much smoother. and this happened a few times. then a being showed an image to me that was my wife. It asked me why are you holding onto this thought in here? and i told it that i hold onto the thought of my wife because she is everything to me. Without her in my life there would be no reason to hold onto anything in my life. The being smiled and was accepting to my answer. i was then flung somewhere after the period of relaxing and there was this sphere like object that was flying around slowly. It was so beautiful with all the flowing colors but the part that was truely amazing was the fact that this sphere kept exploding into millions of pieces and then imploding into a single white light then seperated into the multi colors and exploded again. Again and again this was happening. then i was flying through space. there were so many stars. i was told that space is like out minds, 100% limitless. there is no end to the vast piles and piles of information. when i was coming down i found that i had fallen from my normal meditative position and was still cross legged but my face was buried in my bed. I had been out for twenty minutes. and not just that but i was able to return to where i was for almost an hour after my initial trip. My pineal gland was thumping the whole time. My wife told me and verified through video that i was gone for twenty minutes and that about ten after i innitially left i opened my eyes and told her, "he said to do more" and i did. I have no recollection of this nor the fact that i did practically double the normal dose i do in the first place. Even now when i close my eyes and relax and empty my mind it like i can see hyperspace without even taking a dose. anyone have something like this before? What is your opinion on this experience and the after effects?

Furthur explanation needed..I've been lucid dreaming for a good while and I find no similarity what-so-ever.

I've smoked DMT in a lucid dream as well and that made it similar to a regular DMT smoke session but I wouldn't go as far to say that lucid dreams and journeying have a number of things in common, like what?

Well, I tend to agree... They have a lot of logical connections in common, not experiential. The experiences are different but the conclusions are similar.

For example, if you don't trust the dream and start pushing toward a certain goal, things around you totally screw up. You wanna see your dad in the dream but all of a sudden you end up in Australia (that's dream reality, totally illogical) and you're mad cause you couldn't see your dad. If you were just enjoying the trip to Australia, everything would've been fine. Just go with the flow, and know that life / the dream / Spice ALWAYS surprises you.

You have to trust the dream, if you keep trying to get somewhere or achieve something very specific (like getting laid, hehe), you'll probably end up losing your lucidity.

When you are lucid, there is no fear. Letting go of fear is key to both experiences.
Also, every thought becomes real in a matter of seconds in both worlds. How you think of things is how they are.
