I dove into the DMT again last night.
I stared into a paper IKEA lamp and saw divine marble statues of angels & devils dancing the ballet of creation. I witnessed pterodactyls and giant turtles made of boulders vie for power in a tropical tundra. These stone-based characters leapt from the texture of the lamp to form the most breathtaking and elaborate 2-D stop-motion animations. Then came 3-D. Then 4-D. (My favorite!)
Perspectives where ever-shifting. Foreground became background. Images could only be seen in their entirety by seeing them in multiple ways all at once. Incredible!
As a lay on the couch in an awe-inspired stupor, I thought about my senses. Perhaps my eyes can only get me so far. Perhaps my BODY can only get me so far.
I began to drift, and the vortex began to pull me in.
But my journey past the core was cut short by the recollection that I had a body. I remember wondering: am I still alive? Oh shit- is my body remembering to breathe??? Will it do that on it's own when the pilot is miles away?!?
I came to taking panic breaths.
But my roommate told me that I had been breathing normally throughout the duration of my trip.
After that I calmed down and felt at peace.
But it was an important lesson in which to remind myself once again: ALWAYS HAVE A SOBER SITTER!
That's my motto when it comes to diving deep into the world of psychedelics. Better to be safe than sorry!

Maybe not everyone agrees with this philosophy. But that's my recommendation- especially to people who are less than veterans to the world of mind spelunking.
I DON'T EVEN BEGIN to consider myself to be a veteran tripper, and I've been tripping shrooms for 12 years, acid for 5, and DMT (sparsely) for 3.
And damn it, I wanna trip for MANY, MANY, MANY years to come!
Be safe folks. Go with love and positivity. Go in peace!
