My herbs have finally arrived today and I plan on making my first batch of changa this weekend. However after much reading I have (yet another) question.

Is it worth it to infuse ALL of your plant material, or is that just a waste of good spice and you should only focus on infusing DMT into plants that have psychoactive properties. For example, my first blend will be 50% caapi, 25% mullein and 25% calea z. should i only infuse the caapi and calea, or is it worth it to infuse everything?

all opinions and suggestions welcome. :-)

thanks in advance.

Say I have two or three different herbs that im using for my blend. I will finely ground all of them into one mix, then infuse with the amount of spice I want, which is always a 1:1 for me.

So yeah, finely grind all three of your herbs (in whatever amount your using) together, and infuse with said amount of spice.

Is that what you were asking?

not exactly... i'm more curious if it's worth it to infuse non-psychoactive herbs. so instead of infusing 1g worth of 3 herbs, would it be more prudent to only infuse a larger amount of the caapi and/or calea so that I have a larger amount of infused psychoactive herbs to add to a batch containing non-psychoactive ones.

am i making sense or just being utterly confusing?

It doesn't matter whether the herbs are psychoactive or non-psycho active. What your infusing into the herbs is what matters here. DMT and harmalas are the primary ingredients.

I'd definitely look into extracting some harmalas from vine when you have the time and money,a nd when your making your blends throw in roughly 250mg harmalas per gram of dmt you use.

I think your 50:25:25 is perfect though. The caapi leaf will definitely have some effect though.

The herbs used for the blends are moreso 'carriers' than anything else AKA herbs with a good structure for infusing. It sounds like you got it right though!

No matter what... your going to be pleasantly surprised when you pack a bowl up or whathaveyou and light it and take afew tokes Pleased

Ease of use of enhanced leaf/changa is unparalleled imho, beside loading straight freebase in my GVG.

I have never used Calea, even though I have some, because I've read multiple posts before that it just tastes terrible.

One herb that is great in enhanced leaf and changa blends that SHOULD NOT be infused is Blue Lotus Flower. Blue Lotus flower is a beautiful color, has a great smell, and will make your blend have a slight taste of blueberries, as long as you don't ruin it by soaking it in your solvent.

My personal advice would be to keep the caapi at 50%, up the mullein to 30%-35%, and 15%-20% Blue lotus flower (added after evaporation). The blue lotus won't be psychoactive on it's own, but it won't matter as long as you mix your blend up thoroughly.

Good luck!

I only go with a heavy harmala load and spice,

to be more specific,

a 10x caapi 2:1 dmt

you get an immediate harmala load and a smooth entry into the current and then a toke or three to get things really interesting, after that a toke to maintain things every :15-20 min. I can stay in hyperspace a long time.

efficient and synergy

I dont get all the blends.......fluff, lol

I dont vape pure spice anymore. I know what thats like.

efficiency and ecconomy of product.

my 2 cents

This is good advice, and completely true. However, I've been finding that I need to reduce the amount of 10x caapi in my changa because I sometimes have changa sessions that last up to three hours, which can result in a really nasty harmala hangover for me the following day.

I know certain people don't get hangovers from vaping too many harmalas, but I sure do. If I only plan on vaping for 20 minutes to an hour, it's not an issue.

Guys,

Thanks for all your responses. The batch is done and I had a very successful voyage with it.

holy crap - you keep yourself in hyperspace for *3 HOURS*?

if you don't mind my asking how deep do you go and stay? what's it like at that duration?

i've never messed around with adding anything psychoactive to my changa other than spice and harmalas. but my base has always been mullein to keep the ability to use my lungs Smile

i think most people mix in all that other stuff for taste and comfort while being out there.

I don't stay completely enveloped in hyperspace for the full duration. I dance happily on the edge as I work through my inadequacies and anxieties, and slowly drift back and forth between this dimension and the next. If I feel the call, I'll take a giant rip and completely leave my body.

The beautiful thing about changa is that once you get really comfortable with your device and blend, you can pretty much determine exactly how deep you want to go. My favorite point is when I can close my eyes and communicate to beautiful, teaching entities, but open my eyes to see a world full of color and beauty.

Good luck!
