Hello all,
I had my first experience tonight but something heavily distracted me: it felt as though I had swallowed a frog and it was stuck in my throat, and I instinctively kept trying to swallow (which was very difficult). I was very startled at this, as I have never heard of this in any report i've read... This dragged my attention away from the beautiful chemical that I had but minutes with, so I am hoping to be able to find out a solution to this predicament.
My sitter told me he experiences this every time he delves into psychedelics, and that he was told this is the throat chakra. I have never had much experience in the subject of chakras, but it was quite interesting to ponder that possibility.
Has anyone else every experienced this very annoying/uncomfortable/disruptive feeling of not being able to swallow/having something massive stuck in your throat, and if so, is there any way to overcome it?
Cheers!

When you burn the spice, this is a common symptom. How are you smoking/vaping it? (i.e. what device/what lighter/what dose/screens/ash bed/herb bed...)? "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein
"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead
"Man fears time, but time fears the Pyramids" - 9th century Arab proverb

We used a bong, put the spice between two layers of ashe...It was 50 mg, but I definitely think we did burn it, so that makes sense. I will try to make sure it doesnt touch next time. Thanks! Or perhaps I'll try not to burn it in the first place

I experience this too, but as Global said it could be a result of burning the spice. I smoked some spice once and though I had been poisoned. I actually thought I was going to die as my throat felt as If it were closing.

small pipe, bic lighter: have had it happen once. Very uncomfortable. Felt like a grid of push pins was installed in my throat. Smoke went down but there were no effects. At all. 45 min. later....blasted off with success! + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- DMT Nexus Research ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- + ---- +

Thanks for all the input, if my friend had not been there to let me know that sometimes happened I probably would have had a major freakout!
