Does anybody else ever get head rushes so intense that they go blind and forget who they are and what they are ? I am getting these a lot lately and they really give me a rattling , Its like all the filters in my brain that keep me on "auto pilot mode" are severed and I see the world in a way humans are not supposed to.

i used to get this alot when i was raving, we used to do 60hr weekends fuelled by E and wiz, me and my friends would always get the head rushs at the start of the week. They would sometimes get to the point where everything would go black except for some wierd little flecks of light, and if you didnt sit down you would fall down. it wasnt very good but thankfully they stopped after i gave up the dance floor. are you doing anything that could be causing the head rushs or are they coming out of the blue? INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

Did you start having these headrushes before or after you started microdosing iboga?

Not me, never had it, but I'd be very concerned if it happened to me! Try seeing the doc ? This is the time to really find out who you are and enjoy every moment you have. Take advantage of it.

Are you getting these during use of DMT, or just randomly? Assuming without drug use, like everyone else said You probably should go see a Dr to figure out the underlying cause.

Yes I am getting them all my life but forgetting who I am and that whole sensation is a new addition that I first got about 3 months ago (before I started micro dosing iboga) . And yes I get them when I am totally sober , I will ask my doctor about it next time I pay a visit .

How is your blood pressure? Does this happen often when you rise up?

How is your blood pressure? Does this happen often when you rise up? Yes, it does sound a bit like you´re having low blood pressure, but it also sounds a bit like some kind of dissociative disorder. Sometimes, people with a dissociative disorder become more sane than 'normal people', 'weller than well' as some psychiatrists have called the phenomenon. But i´m not a doctor, so don´t take my words too seriously.

Might really want to ask your doctor about it... last time I went to the hospital there was a unit that people could check their blood pressure for free. Oh yes thank you polytrip for reminding and thus: DISCLAIMER DISCLAIMER I am not a medical professional, just a nerd.

I get these A LOT, the disturbing part is that it often happens during intense meditation, physical yoga and while very loaded, usually on cannabis but sometimes with psychedelics too. It's a very intense head rush that reminds me of the cannabis spins, but with a more pronounced "load" in the head, but with the same set of sensations, alteration of perception, vision tunneling to black, and complete or partial loss of consciousness. It is often triggered by lack of oxygen, quick movement, dehydration and certain movements of the body which effect spinal alignment. This state is also navigable, and with experience can laid to rest, amplified (not recommended) or altered depending on how one conducts themselves. I've found that it is often very psychedelic, though the turf is very strange indeed.
This seems to be not too uncommon, especially among the peculiar group of young, turned-on individuals who are compelled toward a point of efflorescence. In my experience it seems to be related to poor circulation, respiration and spinal health, specifically in the chest and neck. Relaxation both mentally and physically, good health and diet, etc help a lot.
If this is psychosomatic, embodiment of zen is the simple and obvious solution. In combination with good health, this removes the possibility of this drastic change in consciousness from taking hold by allowing the energy to flow through the body, rather than being trapped in the head. In this way, the sensation can be incredibly nice and imparts energy and vigor, a deeper perception of your relationship to the world, and a virtually impenetrable chill.
Either way, if you feel in any way that this is a danger to your health and well-being, then you should absolutely seek the help of a doctor or healer. I had a very nasty spill because of one of these head rushes, ended up whacking my head and ribs, and had a very brief seizure with a very confusing dream and time dilation experience. I can't imagine that it's good for one's brain, blood vessels or facial organs, either. Take care of yourself!

I used to get this quite frequently, but now it barely ever happens. When I would be sleeping and wake up in the morning or if I'm sitting/lying down for a period of time, I'd get up too fast and i would experience an intense "rush" over my entire body and then it would slightly overtake my vision to where I could barely see. This all lasted for about 5 seconds, then was GONE.. Not too sure what it was/is, but it doesn't happen anymore. Feels completely psychedelic in nature, especially visually; very hard to describe. On a weird note..it felt pretty good actually . And Hiyo..I resonate strongly with what your saying in regards to cannabis or intense meditation; or even for me physical activity. All I know is that the intense rush of it and visually what happens is very odd, but interestingly enough.....psychedelic.

Oh yeah, it's definitely very psychedelic in presentation. I could probably go on all day, but I'll just leave it at what's most obvious to my observations: It seems just to be a result of imbalances in the mind and body in the context of how they work as a single thing (since in reality there's obviously no difference). When the mind, body and environment are healthy and in harmony, and are literally perceived as unitary, these very intense rushes aren't really possible. When the rush isn't confined to one's head, it takes on a new character altogether... but as modern people, this sort of energy is most often stopped up at our throats, and cannot circulate. It's really an amazing rush of vitality when one is healthy, rather than the pressured flirt with unconsciousness and a brain anuerism. Lately, this only happens in a negative way when I go "too far" during ecstatic experience that occurs during meditation. Sure, the divine light, cosmic humor and perfect serenity of hyperspace are great, but when the mind and body don't have the energy for the job, it can get a little rough, haha. Fortunately, usually one can "snap out of it". Either total relaxation or a snap back to egocentric "normal" consciousness usually puts it to rest. It's always a helluva trip though

I had some pretty intense head rushes regularly for about a three month period a couple of years back when I'd get up too quick from a reclined position. I found them quite enjoyable in a weird way, reminded me very much of the initial rush from smoked DMT. I don't recall visuals or loss of consciousness, but the physical sensation felt very strange and vaguely psychedelic too. Almost like my inner energy/spirit/consciousness was lagging behind my physical body and tumbling to catch up with it. It eventually went away on its own accord but I do miss that feeling from time to time... "The love I've made is the shape of my space"

I got the idea of closing my eyes the next time I get an intense one to check for CEV`s but oddly enough ever since I planned that I have only been getting very mild ones

That's probably for the best. Gnarly head rushes can't be too great on the body. If one is at all interested in the interesting aspects of this phenomenon, they'd likely do best to explore these parts of themselves on a day-to-day, healthy basis... rather than just every once in a while during periods stress and odd bodily behavior.
