Hi guys,

I've seen 5-MeO-DMT for sale by RC companies. They list the name as '2-(5-methoxy-1H-indol-3-yl)-N,N-dimethylethanamine'. Is that the stuff we're interested in for our purposes? I thought it was 5-Methoxy-Dimethyltryptamine as opposed to 'Dimethylethanamine'.

Also, the EC labelling is a bit scary...

Hazards Statements:
H302: Harmful if swallowed.
H332: Harmful if inhaled.
H315: Causes skin irritation.
H319: Causes serious eye irritation.

I guess they have to put that though.

That name is synonymous with 5Meo-dmt, they are just using different nomenclature.

They missed a hazard statement:
H320: May cause re-evaulation of one's life.

That's the technical name (using IUPAC nomenclature); It's what you're looking for. Also, that kind of warning is always placed on RC's because 1. technically anything has those "harmful" effects in too large amounts (water is harmful to inhale) and 2. since all research chemicals are unresearched, it's usually a better idea to put "Warning: harmful to ingest" rather than "Warning: eat unresearched compounds at own risk".
