Hi. I had my first and second experience with spice about a week ago. I could not experience a compleat breakthrough yet, because I dont find a sitter who assist me,so i only try it in low doses( something like 25/30 mg each time). Anyway it were a nice experience and a good beguining in this incredible path that I choose to follow. The issue ( or the problem)is that since my second experience I beguin to listen a buzz in my head. I listen it only when there are not others sounds ( in silence moments)and it never ends I wonder if this is a common situation , how much I expect the buzz will last or what I have to expect from this situation. Is this the sound of universe? Have some of you similar experiences to share with me? I m concern about my health, but I dont want to give up so fast from DMT experinces and world. I thank you very much from now folks and excuse my english ( I hope you understand it! )

interesting... i'm not sure there is a definite answer here, you may just be hearing white noise from your surroundings. similar to holding a seashell to your ear, you can often hear the air circulating around you or maybe it's just in your head. i know that if i sit in a quiet space and focus i can hear a sort of buzzing or similar sound. it follows the old phrase "the silence is deafening". although related to DMT i have often experienced a sort of burning sensation on my head. when i would smoke DMT i would often feel a tingling most notably around my head, sometimes in other parts of my body. i think it goes without saying that the spice is very arcane and can be experienced in any number of ways. we probably have all had our own personal experiences with it that may affect us differently and similarly. You are me and I am you, I'll always be with you...

Tks for your answer Nathaniel. The sound that i been experiencing is most like an electric buzz and appears to come from my ears. There may be some damage to the auditory nerve? I don`t know what to think about it.

Surely you're familiar with the "tone" or "carrier wave" sound thats commonly heard while on dmt, right? People tend to here this on things like tryptamines like dmt. Sometimes, it lingers afterwards.. Thats fairly common though. i see no reason to worry about you're health or audio nerve suffering damage I've had this and heard of other having it as well many times..there is probably a bunch of other threads on this with more info. I'm not sure anyone has an explanation nailed down though. in some cases it may just be that suddenly one begins paying more attention to 'white noise'/tinnitus after psychedelics, that was already there to begin with but went mostly unnoticed. Other times, this isn't an adequate explanation given the intensity- but thats still not a cause for worrying. No ones had damage to they're auditory nerve from dmt.

I'm not a Dr so I wont even attempt to diagnose, Speaking from experience I would guess that it is NOT damage to your auditory nerve, unless you have suffered a blow to your head or something else like being hit in the ear? Excessive loud music? Tinnitus is what I assume you are experiencing, is not uncommon in people who use psychedelics. It often goes away after a while. IMO it would be extremely difficult to damage your auditory nerve smoking DMT, unless you were walking around and fell and hit your head while doing it. Ice House is an alter ego. The white noise from surroundings theory sounds possible, although I'm not sure how probable it is. Anyway, regarding to your specific problem. I believe you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I've had tinnitus since forever, as far as I can remember. It doesn't manifest itself all the time, but I used to be worried about it at some point too. Then I started thinking that going to parties and stuff would further do damage (even though I don't go to that many parties anyway, maybe a couple in a whole year). Then I started to meditate and heavily introspect, which led me to being able to meditate on that sound alone, and it gets louder and louder the more I do it. It's pretty cool. Not to mention the last party I was at and took some E. When I got home, I enjoyed hours of made up music, my brain apparently started creating music from that specific electrical buzz you're talking about (I was in complete silence mind you). So all in all, I learned to enjoy it. As far as I know, tinnitus isn't treatable, but it's not a very serious condition either, except maybe if you have hearing problems to start with. A lot of people have it, some don't even know it. The truth...lies within.

Yes ,Tinitus is the answer I found when I ask to the Oracle( Google) . But as I also read that taking drugs may be one of the causes of geting Tinitus I beguin to worry. I have been using psychedelic drug for a long time but the sound (tinitus?) beguin after my second time on DMT. My greatest concern wasn´t the sound itself, but having to stop taking DMT. Then I thougth ,why don´t asking to the people who knows? .... and here I am. I like what rjb says....try to enjoy it...acepting it,I will try. And is very relaxing for me to hear that is nothing to worry about with it. Perhaps it will help me in my meditation,is a sign after all! Thank again friends.

The buzzing sound is common while on DMT, as universecannon explained. I used to play the drums when I was younger and after quite a few parties over the years, I have constant ringing in my ears known as "tinnitus". When it first happened it was a bit worrying, but after a few weeks I learned to accept it and I don't really hear it anymore... unless I concentrate on it. Even when in complete silence, I have learned to ignore it.
If the problem persists you can see an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist who can give you some options. A friend of mine has tinnitus, which was not due to actual inner ear damage. He had a specific therapy done where the doctor gave him a tone to listen to every day for a period of time, which resulted in him being able to pretty much turn it off at will.
There are options if the buzzing sound persists, but just give it time. It will most likely diminish on its own if it hasn't already.

The silent sound of the self, I hear it only in silence, people, music, dogs barking or whatever is a distraction. Perhaps you are more in tune with this now ? Just a sort of eeeee or zzznngggggg sound ? Art Van D'lay wrote:Smoalk. It. And. See.

Ya I frequently hear buzzing with spice. I hear it commonly in complete silence or when a fan is blowing but any other sound seems to deafen it. Havent really given it thought whether it means anthing but just kindof assosciate it with the sound of the trip. --------------------------------------------------*Kash's LSA Extraction* * Kash's Mescaline Extraction*------------------------------------------------------ All things I say are complete and utter ramblings of nonsense. Do not consider taking anything iterated from the depths of my subconsciousness rationally and/or seriously.

The BUZZING. It goes "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ". I first experienced this during sleep paralysis. It bugged me out because I did not know about sleep paralysis/OBE/W.I.L.D or any of that. A couple years later I experienced it on 20 hits of liquid LSD. Bugged me out cause I was young and tripping at a festival and I had no way to explain it to those around me. The aftermath of that trip: a series of flashbacks. For a few months time, certain sorts of situations (usually situations that called to mind the festival) would trigger it, and there I'd be, with a LOUD and over powering buzzing in my ears. Then DMT. After 12 years of occasional blast offs, I only just began to experience the buzzing from DMT just last winter. Happens about 1/3rd of the time or less. Quote:zzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz AT times I've felt/heard it inside one ear. Other times both ears. Sometimes it distinctly seems to be coming from the center of my head. The above is all that I can say for sure--my own experiences, as best I remember. The above experiences are related to some of the most intense moments of my life and involved a buzz--not a ring. Ringing in my ears happens when I wait in line at the grocery store. Just IMHO but tinnitus feels way off the mark. The two may be related......heck, I almost hit send a minute ago, but I sit here and think about how I normally feel a strange sense of focus when the ringing comes on.....man, I don't know "Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods." Albert Einstein
I appreciate your perspective.

The ringing can also be nerves. Like if you are stressed, then you might hear it more. I get this constantly. Doesn't bug me. I even got a tone generator app to find out what tone it was! Plus I want to know if it has a link with my Spice carrier wave. Done: THC - LSD - MESC - MDMA - Shrooms - DMT / Want:Hyperspace travel - World Peace Respect, intention, meditation, inhalation, observation, analyzation, respect.

Tinnitus.. I have it in my right ear, sometimes it gets quite severe. I think its caused by a few things, namely a rise in blood pressure (dmt does this) as well as the hairs in your ears that pick up vibrations/sound can get damaged (irrepairable I think) I have it because my ears got hurt when I was gigging with my old band and I sat right in between the drums and guitar amp. Usually it goes away in time.... For me. But then it comes back. The silence is deafening for sure With every great plan comes the pleasure of patience. Take a rest, and grab a suckle off the teat of life!

Even though I already had that buzzing before my DMTE (DMT experiences),is clear for me that it becomes worse after that. Anyway the posts that I had read in here help me a lot in order to not worry me too much about that. Yesterday nigth I had my third DMTE and the buzz still there steady ,but at least, don´t get worse. I gess I will survive it!! On the other hand I need some help about what is the proper attitude to take when the trip beguings. I know perhaps this is a topic to post in other place ( and I will...) but I do it here, anyway. Yesterday nigth I had a very intense sensation. I felt that I was taken by DMT ,and I was a little confused. In some way I felt that couldn´t let me go with it, There is a technique to achieve a compleate release and breakthrough? One more thing...this is an incredible site, plenty of helpfull and kind people ,and I could´t even think in experience successfully what Spice have for me without your help....thank you again!
