Hello friends! First time posting here, this place is a great resource.
So I have several trips under my belt now, first ones went horribly (wasted a lot, burned plastic taste etc) but I think my technique is getting better.
So yeah, I've just taken the bat VG out for a test run and things went better than expected, yet I still feel like I've just touched the tip of the iceberg as far as the experience goes.
I'll just summarize what I felt here (as best I can):
-Took 3 consecutive hits: felt a tingly feeling in throat in first but seems to have vaped nicely, second felt/saw the room ripple a bit and felt a body high, third one I had trouble feeling my breath inhaling (knew the air was there but felt like emptiness lol) and I also burned my finger a bit setting the thing down (not bad).
-Felt all the patterns and euphoria LSD-like but the same thing as my previous trips on dmt.
-What made this time special was amidst all the rolling fractal imagery I felt a feminine presence beckoning to me in the form of a ball of 'energy'. It was tracking its own path in the waves of fractals and my minds eye was entranced in it (tracking it around).
-This trance like state was really fleeting and as soon as I opened my eyes I was back in my room and the visuals started dying down.
So this is the only time so far that I felt a psychological bond with something from DMT. It was only for a fleeting moment but it surpassed the peak of my past experiences with LSD by far. Despite this, I was still questioning whether this was a true "breakthrough" or not a few times during the trip.
A few questions:
1. I was still pretty aware of my surroundings (I was under the impression that a breakthrough is beyond that) but of course I closed my eyes willingly knowing that I'd be entranced for a bit. Does this sound familiar?
2. I had music playing in the background and felt like it really enhanced the experience. People tell me silence is best, is this always the case?
3. Any tips on breathing technique? I always feel like I struggle getting a full breath near the end due to air not feeling like air anymore, haha.
Any insights/tips appreciated!
TL;DR - Most 'sentimental' experience so far, not sure if breakthrough (question: What constitutes a breakthrough?)
