WOW thanks for all the responses!
The shaman's job is to help one heal from traumatic experiences. The shaman is the experienced spirit walker and I believe that one of the main reasons people have bad experiences on big medicine is because of the lack of one.
I know most of you know how big medicine is used in other cultures, respect and ritual performed with purpose and good intent, regulated by the shaman who knows when and how much to give to a person and what that person needs to follow up with.
The shaman I am friends with has shown me amazing things when I wasn't on any entheogens. Those experiences made me see the world in a different way and changed me for the better.
I got well!!!!
I know particular belief systems are sometimes constraining and archaic ideas can seem like mumbo jumbo, but I was told something by an important spirit. "Be a skeptic and believe", I thought about this for a few months before I realized that what to be skeptical of is the important part of understanding this statement.
Perhaps it was a placebo effect that healed me during our first 20 sessions or so, but it might have been as real as my mind made it.
I know everyone doesn't believe in some of the things I do and that's okay. I just know what I saw and felt when I sent souls back to "god" or whatever you'd like to call it.
When they spoke through me during the sessions I had sensations that I could not explain.
One soul that was with me from the time I was 10 or so was a young girl named Emma. she was so scared to go back and as the benefits of leaving me were explained I never felt so much fear and I was crying her tears and relaying details I could never have known about this soul and her family.
I honestly believe that some souls are scared to leave this material world, some died too young and didn't understand, or held on too tight to earthly matters, or did something that was heinous and felt they would never be forgiven.
When one puts oneself in an unguarded state such as channeling the collective conscious or being too trusting during psychedelic experiences, or abusing their mind body and spirit, other souls that haven't left yet can attach themselves to one's energy body.
I also think that just maybe these lost souls pick a host that might one day help them
return to the eye of bliss.
If anyone is interested in soul retrieval or soul extraction, which is just the tip of a big core Shamanism iceberg. You can read Soul Retrieval by Sandra Ingerman.
The incorporation of a shaman guide when entering altered states
is something we as a culture don't give much credit too, but I think is of vital importance. Before we had western medicine, whole cultures depended on the Shaman and his "Traditional Medicine", Modern doctors are the new kids on the block and if the spirit isn't healed how can one's body be healed, they are in my mind inseperable.
I'm just happy that there are still a few people out there who have the vision and can help those who are damaged restore themselves to a vibrant state.
I love all of you!
