Ok, so: I smoked a bit of DMT the other night out of a vapor-genie. I had extracted the DMT myself and the yield was...fair (I guess). It was somewhat sallow or yellowish looking, a tad greasy, and had the consistency of powder. Not at all like some of the photos I have seen where the DMT extract is pure white and visibly crystalline. This was also my first time using a vapor-genie, and I think I might have botched the vaporization process a little as well

(My next extraction will be much much better though

) Nevertheless...
This was my first encounter with the this substance, and I found it to be a truly incredible experience. However, I must note that I am truly a newbie to all psychedelics in general: I've only done a low dose of mushrooms once in the past. I've read in numerous scientific papers that DMT is perhaps THE most powerful psychedelic substance known to man - at least when administered at moderate to high dosages.
Well, my first DMT trip was definitely one of the most intense experiences I have ever had, but I doubt I experienced anything near the full extent of the substance's effects. So, I'll share some of the more salient aspects of this experience, and I'm hoping some of you experienced DMTers out there can give me some feedback on what I went through.
The first big hit I took resulted in a feeling of being flushed with energy - not vibratory energy, but more like feeling super charged. When I exhaled, stumbled over to a recliner and fell into it, peering around at the small room I was in. Suddenly, the room sort of morphed into a "hyperspace" version of itself. I felt as if I was sucked into it -- not into another world/dimension, but into this new state of consciousness. Objects in the room took on angular shapes and new dimensions. My visual perception of everything seemed sped up.
At this point, I was somewhat aware that I was still perceiving my room, albeit a very distorted version of it. I also don't think I lost all awareness of my body -- rather, I simply wasn't attending to it ( Though I did realize that my mouth was agape and I probably looked like I was in a stupor

.) I felt like I was in a state of reverie. This intense state, however, lasted only briefly.
I closed my eyes at some point, and saw vivid kaleidoscopic or fractal two-dimensional patterns. It looked like a myriad of (tri)angular sneering/laughing faces. Then I witnessed (eyes still closed) cube like forms connected by tunnels, similar to spider a spider webs or honey combs. Reopening my eyes, I saw shifting, swirling patterns on my carpet.
Here comes the part thats causing me the most confusion. Sometime post-trip-peak, I saw translucent, vaguely humanoid forms around the room toward the ceiling. They almost looked like anthropomorphic jellyfish. Although I only saw the contours, I got a very faint sense that these forms were looking at me. Now, I know experiences of various entities are uniquely associated with taking DMT, but I'm ambivalent about whether these forms were in fact "entities" of any sort, or merely open eye visual phenomena. For instance, they were not "colored" (I could see through them), and did not possess any distinguishing features -- other than their amorphously humanoid contours. I didn't get a sure sense of them being sentient or intelligent, and they definitely didn't communicate/ impart any information to me. Lastly, they barely moved, just swayed slightly.
In conclusion, I would say that I had entered a very intense mode of perception, with Incredible open and closed eye visuals. I would not say entered into another realm: like I said above, I perceived a hyperspace version of my room, I did not feel like a had a "breakthrough" experience to a wholly different landscape or realm, although maybe I came close.
What do you guys think?
I'd be lying if I said I'm not seeking a "breakthrough" experience, like some of those described on this site (perhaps replete with archetypes and entities :grin

. However, I'll willingly surrender to the spice, and follow it wherever it leads me.
I think its safe to assume that a better quality yield would facilitate such a "breakthrough", right?
Anyway, I cant't wait to explore DMT much much more. I will certainly respect this substance, and be utterly receptive to the myriad effects it brings about.
Thanks for reading!
