Just recently I got a new GVG, and absolutely love it Smile

The only problem is the lighter. I have a 20 Euro (= cca 25 Dollars) lighter, Primus jet lighter (thin blue jet, very hot). Quite a good one, sturdy, works reliably etc... but it wouldn´t burn when tilted downwards Sad

I don´t know why - maybe it is some kind of safety feature - but for some reason the lighter stops burning when I tilt the jet downwards - towards the ceramic filter on my beautiful GVG... (last time, in the end, I had to use normal cheap conventional ligter, and fortunatelly it worked just well Pleased

Would anyone of you, my dear Nexians, recommend a reliable jet lighter?
One that:
(1) would NOT stop burning when tilted downwards, and
(2) would be sold in the EU by a reliable merchant (as I want to avoid the customs of cca 25% on overseas commodities)?

Thanks for your suggestions and recommendations,
Michal

You have poor quality lighter. I recommend the arc but there are other good ones, too.

I third the Arc Pleased

Easily available on auction and outdoors/sports equipment sites, in the UK as Turboflame is british.

I bought the copy from the USA (there's a thread by Gibran2 on this here) and I had no custom charges as it was cheap enough to be considered a sample/gift.
There are 2 for the price of one, and they work even better than the original IME.

Tele: I think you are right, I should get a better lighter... I´ll probably go for the Arc.

Silly(c)One and Shaolin: Thanks a lot for your advice!
