I was very nervous and telling myself that this would be an easy journey into the unknown because I would be back in half an hour unlike my only other hallucinogen experience when I took lsd and felt its affects for approx 22 hrs. I wondered as I breathed out the smoke when the effects would begin. Almost instantly I was struck with the psychadelic feeling that nothing was real and everything was a dream.

I knew I was affected by a powerful hallucinogen by this signature feeling of infinite possibly and fearful disassociation. Which is best described as feeling as if reality has become a dream, a creation of the deeper mind.I was terrified. The sheer abrupt intensity had only just begin. I knew I had to focus as much on the positive as possible to endure this unimaginably intense roller coaster ride down the rabbit hole.

Almost immediately a buzzing vibration could be heard and felt inside everything. It was as if the machinery of the universe had just been switched on. Then the inner workings of my vision opened up and I could see infinite fractalized depths spinning off of every surface yet containing kaleidoscopic depths within. The world unfolded like origami. I was amazed and terrified at the stunning reality of these visions.

Colour became luminescent taking on an even richer hue. I felt a wet heat flowing from all of my body, as the vibrations built, gravity turned to water, every sense became fractalized echoes, I could taste and smell metal in the air. I lay back with my note pad handy ready to allow the vibration to build to break through the barrier and travel into other dimensions but I was too afraid I didnt want to buried in the visions, I was afraid of the smothering sky wall.

So I sat up and focused on love and said to my self everything is fine. The word sound/vision of this mantra in my mind began to fractalise as well and i experienced fear of loss of self identity as my very thoughts became distorted but instead of the words I held onto the concept and feeling until the effects of the dmt began to fade and I was able to regain my normal sense perceptions.

I also used tactile/visualization skills to try to channel the incredible energy from the dmt through me into the universe rather then letting it build inside of me, this is a technique I use for intense emotions as well incidentally.I was in shock for days afterward the dmt experience, feeling incredible exhilaration and appreciation for our everyday reality after seeing other dimensions of perception but also wanting to share this magical experience with others.
Day after day, alone on a hill. The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still. But nobody wants to know him, they can see that he's just a fool,
And he never gives an answer . . .
But the fool on the hill, Sees the sun going down,
And the eyes in his head, See the world spinning 'round

Thanks for sharing your journey with us.

The rapidity of the onset is something I don't know if I'll ever get used to. Did you feel that your previous experiences helped you make the most of this one?

I can relate to the feeling of shock lingering for days after a deep dive. It's paradigm-shifting and life altering in equal measure. Stunning is too small a word!

Hoping your next journey is rewarding,

Beautifully written! Yep, I've been smiling for weeks now - nothing really matters when we have this world inside us. Bills? Problems at work? Wake up guys! Wake up and smell the real world. Smile

My first psychadelic experience with LSD had the same frightening/exciting effect of making everything seem like a dream. SO when the DMT first hit me with that feeling I was prepared. Prior psychadelic experience definitely prepares you for the general feeling of a hallucinogen but each drug has its own specific effects that can only be experienced to become truly conditioned to. I smoked DMT with cannabis which I think with most types of cannabis can intensify the anxiety of the experience. Some cannabis doesnt induce anxiety but it also depends on your mood. Generally I find most types induce anxiety and reduce anger, sometimes inducing hysteria and often strong creative inspiration. I have hallucinated on marijuana only once but have had dozens of epiphany like states, where one thought will become connected to an almost infinite chain of other thoughts. It is like seeing the cause and effect logic of the universe. When I hallucinated on marijuana I was drawing a detailed picture with a deep background that progressed into smaller and smaller detail. At some point I began to see into the paper, I could see the ink soaking the individual fibres of the paper and then the fibres fractallized into smaller and smaller parts until I saw particles of energy, points of light with coloured lights circling the centre points of light. I believe there were greens and yellows although I cant remember exactly. This hallucination was halfway between a daylight hallucination and hynogogic or hynopompic imagery. It did not have the intensity of a dmt vision/experience. Few things do though lol. Thank you for your well wishes and I wish the same to you all on your journeys, wherever you travel.
