This morning at 10:00 I broke my fast with some coffee and 350mgs of San Pedro acetate. I felt it within 10 minutes. The nausea was upsetting my stomach, so I sipped on some sparkling water. An hour later I purged which felt nice. I felt a bit anxious, so I cleaned up the kitchen and then relaxed on the couch with some soothing Jerry Garcia Band. The experience reminded me very much of good clean MDMA.

At that dose, it wasn't overly psychedelic but it felt really good. I felt a deep sense of appreciation for all that I've been blessed with in this life. One of the coolest feelings was that it connected me with the cacti I've been growing for years. It felt very much like meeting an old friend for the first time.

Just wanted to say thanks to the people here at Nexus who so generously share information and experiences. This is a cool place for sure.

Congrats!

that sounds alot like my first encounter with mescalito. Very peaceful and manageable, yet profound in its own special way. Low to medium doses of mescaline are one of my favorite psychedelic experiences, enough to get the emotional affects that are somewhat comparable to mdma, but not enough to cross the veil into the magic of a high dose.

The first time i took mescaline it was around 300mg of the fumarate from pedro, and it was an experience i will remember for the rest of my life. From that moment on, cactus has become the most respected & useful plant teacher for me. Shortly after that i decided to start cultivating them, and the connection to them is a special bond for sure.

Glad your first meeting with this teacher was a productive one, keep it up, theres many more dimensions to the experience the higher you dose and more you get to know the cactus.

In a society in which nearly everybody is dominated by somebody else's mind or by a disembodied mind, it becomes increasingly difficult to learn the truth about the activities of governments and corporations, about the quality or value of products, or about the health of one's own place and economy.
In such a society, also, our private economies will depend less upon the private ownership of real, usable property, and more upon property that is institutional and abstract, beyond individual control, such as money, insurance policies, certificates of deposit, stocks, etc. And as our private economies become more abstract, the mutual, free helps and pleasures of family and community life will be supplanted by a kind of displaced citizenship and by commerce with impersonal and self-interested suppliers...
The great enemy of freedom is the alignment of political power with wealth. This alignment destroys the commonwealth - that is, the natural wealth of localities and the local economies of household, neighborhood, and community - and so destroys democracy, of which the commonwealth is the foundation and practical means.โ€ - Wendell Berry

Thanks for the nice reply man. It's people like you that make this such a special place.

Gonna up my dose to 500mg next time. I'm sure that'll get me into the range of a full psychedelic experience. Can't say I'm gonna bother with a wash tho. By keeping my salting pH in the 6-7 range I've been able to extract a pretty off-white acetate. I've read the other non-mesc alkaloids are somewhat sedative, can't say I noticed that effect. I did feel a definite body load for most the day, but I've also felt pretty speedy, but in an organic kind of way.

I'm very happy to have welcomed Mescalito into my life. I feel that we'll have a nice symbiotic relationship.

I am very new to mescaline also, and had a quite a difficult time of extracting mescaline from San Pedro outer flesh powder. I still don't have the technique down--I suspect errors in the salting phase--but I would like to share with you the same advice that I received from other Nexians in my attempt to enhance my psychedelic resume: brew yourself a tea with whatever amount of powder than you have available and drink it all on a single occasion. You will not regret this decision. I took the same approach with 100 grams of powder, and although I don't truly know how much mescaline that figures out to be, I think it unlikely that I would've had the experience that I did if I had been concerned with weighing out mescaline HCl or acetate or what have you. I find that my best experiences have been the leaps of faith. It was rather profound. Anyway, this is my two cents. More than anything else, I just want other people to experience the full depth of mescaline because it is truly worth it. I can't say enough good things about it.
