How many of you start smelling various smells while tripping? My last trip i was in the middle of my session and all of a sudden i smelled a pungent, rotten meat type smell. It was startling to say the least, and it lasted for a minute or so then disappeared. About 5 minutes later i decided to trip again after coming down, and this time i smelled an old, musky type smell but a little more pleasant than the first. When i tried to concentrate on it the smell just left and i couldn't really smell anything anymore but the regular smell of my house. Anyone else experience this?

From my experience the rotten meat smell is a very bad indication of possibly powerful negative entities.(sort of like the dragon's lair in "the hobbit".) not everyone will agree with me on this it's just my opinion based on what I have seen and "smelled"

Either that or you may want to clean out your fridge.

I have also had pefumed incense or flower type smells occur, I associate this with positive entities

i agree with this, crazy i thought i was the only one , ive had this kind of smell also a time when i felt the very strong presense of a negetive energy, crazy that a negetive energy can come out in smell ah i despise this smell so much!

Yes I have encountered the "black rot" smell many a time on my travels...
Unfortunately it has always been a pretty bad omen so to speak...

The first time the "smell" happened to me I was involved in some pretty intense defensive maneuvers while tripping on LSD and Gazing in the mirror....I was being heavily attacked with the most horrifying visuals imaginable....The "evil" was trying to scare me away from continuing my gazing practices in the mirror.

I began to win through my own concrete determination to hold to pure inner silence. I became comfortable with simply just existing to the point where nothing he could show me no matter how horrible could distract me from my intention to be silent.

The Legion like spirit began to weaken and it began to sort of be crushed by the weight of infinity....but instead of fleeing right away.....it whipped out ..."the smell" to try and break my meditative silence...

And the shock value of this tactic was definitely effective and I nearly lost my focus....but I hung in there. A few minutes later the smell and the dark entity were gone and there was nothing left but fantastic and incredible visions to be seen.

Thats exactly what i was afraid of, and i had that feeling the whole time that there might be some kind of negative energy nearby. I thought for a minute my sense of smell just increased and maybe i smelled the garbage or something, but it was empty.

Does anyone know if these types of things are just present when tripping? Or do you think it is still around me all of the time and i finally was able to smell its presence because of being on dmt? I am kinda worried about this...

You guys should check your pants next time this occurs...

These things may or may not be present all the time but they are especially attracted to you when you are tripping I would say.

Taking psychedelics is kind of like going into the spirit world while wearing a large neon hat...that is to say you stand out and attract attention...sometimes it might be negative attention.. either way it is difficult to say whether something is following you around or not....and if something is following you around maybe it's trying to prevent you from doing something or realizing something.

No matter what the dark entities motives may be...do not be worried about it because things like that tend to feed off fear and worry and things like that...

There is no reason to be worried....think of it this way....if negative entities exist then positive ones exist as well in order to maintain the balance..

As far as I am aware..."evil" spirits cannot harm you directly...they can only intimidate and trick you into harming yourself. They can only take over your being if you allow them to completely infiltrate your thoughts.

It's just my opinion but I personally believe that if these types of powerful negative entities are after you then you must be doing something right in your life in order to piss them off so much.

^^ yeah, i can see how negative entities would wanna pick out inexperienced trippers who are just starting to expand themselves into other realities. I realize that alot of the anxiety that most of us feel before taking dmt is fear of the unknown, but i am willing to guess that most of the fear is for the fact that we don't know what kind of negative energies we might encounter when reaching the other side...
