the tips of my brachys are yellowing a bit...they are nearly 3 weeks old and in a mix of tropical soil, sand and perlite. I have not been feeding them ferts just water. They are not getting too little water I know that. They are indoors in a window in a clay pot..

Anyone know what this could be?

edit..also they were quite rootbound yesterday in smaller container so I repotted them..could that have been the cause?

It's a grass, so they need nitrogen and iron to keep them green. Start them on a light fertilizer and see how they respond. And yes, repotting should help too.

I agree, it seems to be the translocation of N to the growth points...
feeding should cure the condition, the yellow leaves may not green up, but new growth should be green.

I clipped the tips, repotted the grass in a deeper pot and fed it some organic fish ferts..and then put the grass outdoors becasue it is hot and not a cloud in the sky..

Figured I might as well repot all my hostilis trees as well and put them outside now..I love this time of year

soo yeah this grass does not like a lot of sun. It has been so hot and sunny here for like 2 weeks now without letting up and my grass just hated it..It was getting like 10 hours of sun a day..

Stuck the stuff in the bark yard where it only gets sun for the first half of the day and shade all afternoon a few days ago and it is already putting out nice fat and thick blue green blades of grass instead of the stringly looking yellow green stuff that it seemed to put out when exposed to all that sun..

Just a tip..worked for me might help someone else. I read that this grass likes a lot of full sun..but not in my experience..it does require some shade as well.
