I'm a mushie noob but very curious...

I know it must be different for everyone, but could someone provide an approximate timeline for building a mushroom tolerance? I've heard some people say you have to double the dose if within 3 days and others say an entire month... ?

Also, would there be a difference in tolerance between fresh vs. dried?

3 days.

Fresh and dry just are different due to fresh mushrooms weighing more.

IME you dont need to double it within 3 days either..sometimes I can take them 2 days in a row without any tolerance at all..most often actaully. By the 3rd day there is tolerance though..and yeah tolerance to both LSD and psilocin is reported to be 3 days.

I can remember from scientific studies that were presented at the breaking convention that Mushroom tolerance was over by day 4 after the initial dose.

Acid tolerance form experience I can say that the main part is gone after a week, but if you stay away from acid for a month and then dose again it is even better.

Kind regards,

I think it varies from person to person, mushies and other 4sub tryptamines create a huge tolerance for me, i need at least week between or they won´t work much at all, havent tried doubling though but mostly cause i would not wan´t to eat +6grams of mushies and see what will happen lol.

Acid however i have eaten up to 4 times in 1 week, and sure the last day the dose was up there but it still worked pretty well although i was quite used to the feeling by then.

I think the above info is generally correct, but everybody is different. I've heard of some people who actually have reverse tolerance, which is definitely the case with me. When I am eating mushrooms frequently(maybe every day or every other day for a week or so) I start to need less and less to get me to the desired intensity. Total speculation, but I feel like it's because I get in tune with them and learn how to get the most out of them. My body realizes it's a good, healthy thing, so it allows more alkaloids into my bloodstream and my brain, rather than killing them in my stomach. My imagination has been lubricated, so it's much more open to the magic that the fungi can show me. I also think the fungi learn a lot about me during the process, and can somehow share that information, so the fruits I eat tomorrow are better at navigating through my self than today's are.

By the end of the week, I can honestly eat half a gram and have a full, six-hour experience that feels the exact same as eating 3.5 grams normally feels. It actually might even be better, because I don't get the sort of awkward stage that usually happens during the come-up, where your body feels a little drunk and formulating sentences can be difficult. Instead, it's a smooth transition into those beautiful realms.

ah, ok. so basically what you all are saying is that it's under a week or a week in most cases...

i had an interesting experience yesterday. i've been experimenting with mushies quite a bit lately. yesterday was the second time in under a week with the same dosage, and it was the first time doing it with a larger group of people. i wasn't really feeling much until i left the group and went in my room and pulled the covers over my head. after that i was tripping pretty hard.

perhaps the degree of trip depends on the environment as well?

lessening the sensory stimulation/input from the outside world, usually makes your trip a bit more intense.
the mind doesnt have all that information to absorb so it paints its own stuff onto a blank canvas so to speak, and your other senses can increase.

such as a blind person having amazing hearing and sense of smell etc..

theres lots of products used by trippers and scientists alike, such as mindfold type devices.

or like you said theres always under the duvet or all the lights off Pleased

Absolutely. Like you've probably heard several times, set & setting make all the difference. The right group of people can totally add to your experience in a positive way, but it seems like many people just don't know how amazing and special these things can be, so they spend a lot of their time just looking at things and giggling, which is totally great, but not always the most valuable thing you can do.

Part of the problem with groups is that a lot of people let their self-consciousness get in the way, so they won't completely let loose and go deep in front of each other. They have to keep up some facade of normalcy, even in ludicrous situations. That can be overcome with the right kind of people, but I think it's pretty rare.

I personally love to get both the external/physical experience and the internal/mental experience, and I feel like the mushies appreciate getting the full-spectrum human experience.Smile So I usually start out on a hike or a walk to get my blood flowing and satisfy my sensual curiosities, then end up lying down in my sleeping bag or bed, maybe with some music, and try exploring the magical realms inside myself. The possibilities are endless, and there are lots of different approaches, so it's good to try some different things until you find your own groove. Best of luck, and happy journeying.Smile

thanks for the input, everyone... i really appreciate it. i'm just now getting to know these little mushies. having fun and learning a lot!

i will leave a picture of my happy place. this is where i had my first mushie trip abroad! it's a seaweed farm in bali. you have to walk through a seemingly neverending stairway through the jungle to get to it.
