Well, first off, I am new here. In fact, once this is posted I will have been a member maybe 15 minutes.
I have visited the sight before while googling DMT experiences. I just read an experience on here about someone who had smoked some spice (I'm assuming the legal synthetic kind). I wish to share a few experiences I had on spice. If this site is strictly for DMT discussion in a literal sense, please let me know If I was mislead by the post I read. After all, I'm new!

Trip 1; Strange feelings and visuals: I went to bed a little early and decided to have about a bowl of the spice I had. This spice (the name of which I won't give on here, but via email or something if desired by someone) definably had more profound effects than any I had ever had. So, I finished my bowl, effects already taking off, and laid down in the dark comfort of my bedroom. My dog was laying next to me, I'll explain why that matters towards the end of the trip. The first thing I noticed was that, once my eyes adjusted to the darkness, the clothes hanging off my dresser seemed to start melting. I shook it off because it was a little odd. I am good at controlling my trips if need be. Next, i felt some sort of crawling (or morphing?) sensation all over my body. I quickly defeated the thought of it being bugs to ensure I enjoyed the experience. After that was all said and done, I drifted into possibly a trance-like state. I cannot remember if was listening to my trip music or not, as this would affect me as well.
I can remember closing my eyes and almost instantly, a panoramic view of the universe "exploded" from the "center" of my closed eye vision. I was startled by this and immediately opened my eyes. After this, I entered an almost-sleep state or trance I suppose. I had no perception of how much time passed when I opened my eyes again (perhaps I went on a natural DMT trip evoked by the spice but couldnt remember it?). I felt waves moving through my body. Not intense, but very smooth and consistent. I felt as if I might leave my body, but didn't. My dog, ironically was having an intense dream and was shaking the bed. Maybe this contributed to the feeling I might leave my body? Or perhaps I was partially out-of-body because I didn't even notice her moving the bed until maybe a minute after waking. After this, I felt the common feeling in the center of my brain (or that is where it seems to take place) probably around the Pineal, though that is just my educated guess. I never have found the words to describe the sensation, though I'm sure readers can relate. It was more intense than usual. Then the unexpected happened. The feeling began to move downwards to my spinal cord, keeping what felt like a perfectly central position. It reached as far as what seemed to be my first or second vertebre. After this, it proceeded back up to its origin and stayed there. It had never moved from its normal position before. I say ti because it is almost as if it is an entity (perhaps thats the wrong word?) of some sort. Then I slept. End of experience.

Trip 2; Feeling like a genius: This is actually a combination of experiences from other trips brought on by the same spice. I don't remember exactly what experience occurred on specific sessions.
It was about late morning and I 2-2 1/2 bowls of the spice. The usual happened as expected. I don't remember the little detail early on, but I remember going to the kitchen. When I got to the kitchen there was something I was trying to remember from erlier that day. Only about an hour or two in the past. I closed my eyes while thinking about it and a vivid image of what appeared to be the previous two hours of my life started playing. I was astonished by this and immediate forgot what it was I was trying to remember. I can old describe it as "Videographic Memory". Right after this, I began thinking to myself, about what I dont recall. Instead of the very vague "voice of the mind" as I like to call it when thinking to oneself, it was a 100% clear voice, my voice at least. It was as if I was speaking to myself in my ear and hearing an actual voice, only it was completely from within.
After that, for whatever reason, I began thinking about Star Wars of all things! I remember thinking "I could've come up with that!". I didn't devise my own Sci-Fi movie, but I was, undoubtedly, and an extraordinarily high level of creative and analytical thinking. One unlike any amount of marijuana could bring on. I didn't just feel smarter than usual; than on marijuana, I was. More than both of those combined.
Another occasion, I had just finished smoking with a friend and we were in his car. He had on some hardcore band I never listen to. I had never heard the song before, yet I began tapping out the drums of the song identically to what I was hearing. I don't really know what to say about this. I just found it very cool.
On another occasion, I was sitting right here at my computer. I was just doing some deep thinking about how the mind works and theories on how this spice was doing what it was doing. Just then, I felt a "burst" throughout my entire brain. A chemical one I suppose, as it wasn't painful or in any way negative. I felt what seemed like literally 100% of my brain absolutely teeming with thousands upon thousands of processes. Was I aware of every single synapse in by brain? I felt incredibly smart. Even MORE so -by a long shot- than when I was in the kitchen. It felt absolutely incredible. I regret not attempting to utilize it and say, searching up something complicated I was interested in and attempting to solve it/learn it or what have you.
Another experience was when i was on a website that happened to have some text in a foreign language. Maybe Wikipedia or something I'm not sure at all. Without thinking about it, I began to read the language, perfectly pronouncing every word! I have no idea what language it was, nor did I actually know what the words translated to, which just makes it more astonishing to me.

So, have any of you had any similar experiences to mine? I would love to hear about them. I am just as eager to hear of any theories or explanations to what I experienced.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I know its a long post, but I'm really eager to hear any sort of input, being my first time. If you read this all the way through or just partially and can offer any input or even some sort of criticism I'd greatly appreciate it. Smile

I can't really comment because I have never tried this stuff - marketed as a synthetic marijuana substitute, no? Be careful with that stuff - I have read a lot of horror stories from accidental ODing. Personally, I would never touch it. I have been turned off by its reputation, and with a few notable exceptions, I stay away from "street" drugs and RCs.

Incidentally, the street name for that stuff is apparently "spice" but whenever you read spice on this website, be assured it is slang for DMT.

Welcome to the nexus and be sure to check out the FAQ and the Health & Safety sections.

Cheers,

Yeah, I steer clear of it now. I haven't touched it in about a month. I probably smoked too often anyway even if I was responsibly doing so. The bad thing about the stuff is you can't "peak out" on it either. I have heard that certain types -though its never happened to me- put people in a really weird part of their minds. Like perhaps personalities or dispositions they wouldn't normally consider normal for themselves.
And thank you very much for the clarification.

P.S. "Spice" is illegal now. Its been "Herbal Incense for a while. I should've made that more clear. I hear all they do to make it legal again is change as little as one molecule of the cannabanoid so that it is not technically on the list of banned substances. Kind of fucked but that's our system sometimes.. I'd really like to see that bath salt crap banned if nothing else. I'll never touch that. My friend came to school tweaking out bad on it one day..

I would say that I have a pretty good amount of experience with these "synthetics" as we call them, due to the amount I have smoked them. I have had some very profound/hellish experiences.

Before I begin I just wish to say, in my opinion these synthetics/spice is very evil. Evil in the sense that the experience is not very beneficial and leads to a less rational or helpful mindset. It is overall, in my experience, destructive.

Okay so in responds to the first section, I have never had very many or any intense visuals as you reported. But I did have very physical feelings such as the feeling you described above in the first part. My theory on this is that the drug you take can create a sort of "drug induced" astral projection. Of course I do not think it is anywhere close to the experience of astral projection, but I feel as if the process is similar. This theory is due to an experience I had after smoking a bunch of high grade cannabis. I had laid down in bed very high, and as you said before I started feeling as if I were to leave my very body. I felt myself enter into an almost hyper-dimensional area where I began to circle around this entity. Whether or not I actually did leave and visit an entity is very unclear to me, but I do know that these synthetic will produce very similar effects in the dark as I had on cannabis.

Now to comment on how you felt like a genius. I do not think that the drug "made" you smarter. What you have described is a very similar experience I get every time I smoke any amounts of cannabis or synthetic. This I believe is due to the drug boosting our creativity, we become "inspired". Of course I do think some of it realize on the individual intelligence but the drug induces the feeling of "awe" that accompanies the creative idea.

Synthetics are very odd though and the times I have had good experiences were few. One time we smoked a certain strain of synthetics and it was complete hell. Before we had done so I just got done watching my friend scream and cry for help, asking if he was in hell. Overall he freaked, excuse my language, the fuck out. I don't know why I smoked it, but I did. All I can say was that it was INTENSE and very hot. People began to become so surreal that I trusted non of them, I felt as if I was burning up and the floor was having huge tremors. Everyone began to look as if they were made of plastic, cartoonish. All I could do was sit down and sweat my ass of for the whole time. One of my friends says he has similar experiences where everyone is indeed deemed aggressive and evil while smoking synthetics.

I am ranting now, but just to tell you, I could go on and on about how bad synthetics are for you from experience. Both your mental health and physical. I by all means stay away from them now.

I hope what I have wrote has helped you some Smile Best of luck!

Very interesting! And yes I suppose the drug doesn't actually make you smarter. It is kind of a temporary smartness if you're going to use that word.
That's pretty intense. I did see a fat cartoon kid in my hallway right outside my door one time. I'm not sure if you are familiar with Battlefield 3 or have ever played it. That same instance I saw the cartoon kid, I also began seeing tiny men off in the distance of my living room, or rather the red triangles that appear of the enemy's head when they have been spotted. I was fully aware they would not harm me, so for the hack of it I tried to interact with my vision by "sniping the across my living room". How stupid is that?
I smoked some with a friend (different type though) last year and we underwent a half hour at the peak where everything we saw, including eachother, had the sensation of not being real. No cartoons, just a rather goofy-like "all this is kind of fake" feeling.
Another time a different friend tripped bad in my car when we were hot-boxing in his apt. parking lot. He said he freaked out because he to saw that everything turned to a cartoon world.
So, I suppose I'm either lucky, or as I said, am just really good at managing my trips.
I'm glad to hear you as well don't wish to touch the stuff anymore too. I wouldn't care if it got banned. Thank you very much for your input Smile
