Hello all, I am a full time lurker on these forums. I have spent many hours exploring this vast ocean knowledge but I rarely post. But i have a question of great importance!

I wouldn't say I am experienced in the realm of psychedelics but I have done shrooms and acid 6-7 times (both) along with other things like salvia, mescaline, and freebase DMT but only once or twice. I do however spend a huge amount of my time researching psychedelics, so I would like to think I am responsible and respectful with them. I take these eye-opening substances to broaden my acceptance of others and myself, and bring me closer to the higher power (whatever it might be).

I ordered 250 grams of black caapi vine, 50 grams of Chaliponga, and 10g of Peganum Harmala, all from a vendor who seems to have a good reputation on this forum. I know black vine and chaliponga are both known for giving very strong experiences but i decided to get them to be most efficient with my funds.

-Here's my question.
I have yet to experience ayahuasca, so I am wondering if anyone who has experience with the black vine could give me a good beginner dose for it. By beginner dose I don't mean weak, I enjoy a demanding trip. I'm also not worried about purging, frankly I am looking forward to it. But I would feel safer knowing how much is "too much"
Also it would be helpful to know a good dose for the chaliponga, I was thinking 2-3 grams my first time.

Much appreciated!

depends really..."black caapi" seems to mean less and less honestly the more I research ayahuasca. What does that really mean? I have heard of black caapi that was not any stronger than yellow and then I have heard of black caapi that was super super potent..then I have had yellow vine that is like 4x stronger than any other vine I had had...

I think that perhaps "black caapi" may not be banisteriopsis caapi at all and refer to a different species of banisteriopsis or another genus even..or maybe there are many black ayahuascas out there..some stronger..some weaker..

So who really know what one you have..only one way to find out..

I would start with not more than 20-40g just to be safe..then increase the dose as needed.
Long live the unwoke.

Thank you for your quick reply! I'll keep that in mind when I begin brewing. I wont have my expectations too high, but also be prepared for what may come.
By the way jamie, I have found your posts very helpful when traveling through the Nexus. You keep an informative but supportive attitude, and your especially helpful to those who haven't had too much experience. Your posts got me past my freebase DMT obsession and made me seriously think about trying a brew myself. Thank you!
