House made a similar thread about iboga but i think we should discuss this topic in a broader sense.

Ime most of the natural phychs have healing properties although some less than others, when my back was in a really bad shape cannabis worked very good for me to mask some of the pain which helped me stay active enough to rehab it.

Also lately ive felt that mushrooms have made the inflammation in the same injury go down a bit, i had a flare up 5weeks ago and ive been a mess since.

Once i also remeber reading here that someone had their knee getting healed from an ayahuasca sesion, this comes as no surprise to me as i can feel similar sensations when doing it.

So anyone else have something chip in with?

Im thinking about starting a micro dose routine with caapi or rue, would prefer caapi but i have a shortage in it though, maybe ill do some xtracted rue alks instead.

Difficult concepts; in any case, we should be thinking twice (if not more) before employing pshycedelics as healing agents. It's not that they do not have the potential to heal, it's that we do not know the extent to where and what they might be able to heal, not to mention any contraindications with already used meditation.

One serious note though; house did not heal his problem with iboga and you did not heal your back with cannabis. In both cases psychedelics were used to treat symptoms of illnesses, and not heal the cause of the illness. This is a very important point to keep in mind when talking about healing.

I believe that psychedelics carry along the possibility of showing its user a healthy "version" of himself.
Once he got a glimpse of it, he might be enabeld to shift to this version, because he will be inspired by the feeling.

I cured some issues in my life trough that, also physical issues which are considered not curable at all. I won't provide examples. Pleased

That is basicly what i said, cannabis masked my pain so i could move around more painfree and therefore be able to rehab my back.

I´m not saying these plants are magical healing plants that cure all that is broken, but my experience is that they can help you understand what is wrong with you and how to fix it.

This combined with the knowledge about the human body and medicine can be enough to treat most illnesses, physical or mind related

The master physical healing medicine is Kambo (vendors only in the suppliers subforum, thanks - MOD). After that, iboga (especially at flood dose levels).

Kambo is especially good for anything related to the immune system. The more you do it, the more powerful it becomes. Three sessions of Kambo in one hour can be seen as a vaccine and/or treatment for all kinds of disease... from allergies to cancer.

Iboga is especially good for your nervous system. The two medicines complement each other very well.

While I agree kambo is very interesting and worthy of investigating further, please lets not call cancer cures in this forum.

Also remember people have died from both iboga and kambo, so while it can be safe, it is also important to check up on one's health before and make sure the dosage is correct and the person applying/leading the experience knows damn well what they are doing

I have never worked with Kambo or ibogaa. Over the last couple decades I have turned to allot of other psychedelics, mushrooms, aya, pharma, changa, dmt, cactus, cannabis, salvia, just to name the major players.

I find that only cannabis of the entire bunch has true physical healing properties.

I have found that the major stumbling block for most people, when it comes to healing is the will to heal.

The ability for the body to heal itself requires synergy, IMO. I dont care how much medicine you take for an injury, if you dont have the desire, the motivation to rehab, if you dont physically get of your ass and do physical therapy to strengthen an injured part of your body you will never heal.

I have learned that psychedelics ammount to nothing more than snake oil if you do not have other more important elements in place to support physical healing.

I have found that psychedelics can actually cause more problems for physical injuries because of what it does to my motivation to get off my ass and do therapy. It also has a negative impact on my diet as well as contraindications it may have with legitimate proven meds that aid in the physical healing process.

Snake Oil can be some extremely dangerous stuff long term.

IMO and IME, The only legitimate proven areas of effectiveness in healing powers of psychedelics is treatment of PTSD and adiction therapy and even in those areas psychedelics alone ammount to more snake oil. Evironmental changes, changes in diet, and physical activity are a more important whe attacking addiction and PTSD problems.

At best psychedelics are good short term supportive therapy. Longterm they have te ability to mask the real issue at hand.

Video on Ibogaine and cellular regeneration

Seems to work for some people. The iboga therapy house even lists nerve damage as a symptom they have effectively treated.

Sometimes a psysical problem may have a mental/emotional source.

Psychosomatic problems can sometimes be spontainiously healed during psychedelic sessions.

Negative thought patterns can cause tensions.

Psychedelic drugs can often help a person see the roots of such problems. This is a very general statement.

well, i was a bit stiff in the neck and it went away after a freebase-session. And stayed like that for maybe 5 hours. Then it came back.

It's kind of obvious that it goes away under the trip itself. But several hours after? I find that interesting. And it was not just a coincidence, i've had that a few times now.

So my conclusion is that spice affects the muscles in some way.. or is it nerves? A sort of relaxing effect anyhow.

Is this familiar to anyone? or just me?

Often, after a spice session I will come out of it with hieghtened grace. Puts your right into your body. Great for posture. Often I'll feel this...porposefulness and joy about my movements.

ayahuasca has legit healing properties. Harmine and harmaline have been found in peer reviewed studies to have various healing properties. They are anti viral, anti fungal, anti parasitic..harmine and harmaline also exhibit the ability to restrict tumor growth so maybe be useful in cancer therapies..

Also THH is speculated to be responsible for the seratonin platelet upregulation that Callaway observed with ayahuasca.

Long live the unwoke.

Ice house, can you explain why you think only cannabis has shown to have healing properites for you? Cannabis also inhibits tumor growth so does have some uses I know..I am always interested in people who use cannabis for medicial reasons.

When I was sick with serious digestive issues cannabis did not really help me..I thought it would so I kept smoking it but I think it masked my symptoms a bit and then even inflated them at times, and in the end only lowered my immune system.

When I stopped smoking cannabis completely for about 6 months I changed alot of thing.. changed my diet completely and started to think about health differently..but I started drinking ayahuasca alot..I drank it often and still do and fully believe that ayahuasca played a significant role in helping me become well..I did not take other psychs in this time other than maybe mushrooms 2 times in that 2 year period and cacti 2 or 3 times..I had stopped using other psychs basically and just ate as clean as I could and drank lots of ayahuasca.

Obviously my diet played a big role though but I think the ayahuasca kept my digestive tract paraite free and helped keep fungal infections down and improved my digestion and aided in elimination of toxins that build up over time..

I think that with ayahuasca there are very obvious healing benifits that anyone can see, but the traditional model is the best becasue it does not focus on just ayahuasca alone..diet plays a huge role as do other medicinal herbs and practices..it is about holism and not just tripping balls.

did you try eating cannabis, or just smoking? smoking while sick, if it is anything other than nausea, generally does not help me at all.

I smoked it, ate it, made bhang tea with it..cannabis is a great medicine..it was just not useful for me to smoke cannabis all day when I was already so run down. I use it now less frequently without problems.

it does wonders for me when dealing with the occasional but regular bouts with lower back pain. I will give you a great example of that. This past December when I was in Guatemala for a few weeks, I started experiencing extreme lower back pain. I believe due to sleeping on busses and on bad matresses. I went right to what always has worked for me over the years. Oral cannabis or Cannabis baked goods. They were very easy to find in Guatemala. It completely stops the pain for me. Without it I couldnt sleep. I couldnt even lay down. If I take the cannabis for every day for at least a week the problem is usually gone for several months or more until something agravates this problem again.

How does it kill the pain and heal me? is it acting as a NSAID or a pain killer? Or is it placebo effect?

I dont use cannabis often but I do also use it for any joint/legament pain. I just need to eat my wifes canna cookies 2x a day for a week to ten days and the problem goes away.

for me it works. Its a blessing.

You wouldn't happen to have a source for these studies - or a link to another thread discussing these healing properties - would you, Jamie? I would love to read them.

The most effective therapeutic painkiller for me has been a mix of cannabis and salvia. This works much much better for me than cannabis alone also I've found that the salvia body buzz can be focused consciously and used to massage sore muscles.

Also bare in mind the differences between the words heal and treat.

I find LSD to be the only drug that treats the busted nerves I have that operate in my neck, Eustachian tube, and ear.
What normally causes significant pain is alleviated every time I dose. I take the drug ~once a week these days and it keeps the symptoms at bay.
