Continuing to be surprised at the art coming out of this thread, I think I agree with the idea that each subforum should have its own banner. I know I couldn't pick just one, they are so different and each one brings a new flavor to the site. Just the diversity of the banners shows how unique the psychedelic experience can be. CREATE MOAR!!! 'Little spider weaves a wispy web, stumblin' through the woods it catches to my head. She crawls behind my ear and whispers secrets. Dragonfly whiz by and sings now teach it.'

My favourites are : meditating tree man & melodic catastrophes two! I also think that there should be headers for sub-categories or rotating banners. Too many great ones. Ash yours rock too. I was inspired by looping gifs and thought this would be an awesome place to put it! I know there are a few kinks with it - but I like that there are inconsistencies between other peoples work. Others can't really "fix" what would make anyones "better", it would only make it look more like your style. shivaindisguise attached the following image(s): dmt-nexusHeaderBanner2.gif (1,533kb) downloaded 1,683 time(s).

wow that's awesome shivaindisguise. there's kind of an optical illusion going on that makes it look like it's pulsing when looking at the whole thing. if i cover up everything but 1 or 2 sections it's smooth
i can't even choose a favorite i like too many of them

I love the animation shivaindisguise! Very nice. It's hard to say which one is my favorite. They are all so beautiful in their own right. I really like the idea of having a banner for each section of the forum. elru wrote:Melodic can you change the opacity or the color of the little dmt molecule in the top left of your bottom one? It stands out differently than the rest of the banner. That is my favorite banner so far along with the hole-for-a-face one. I updated the molecules (in this post) and re-centered the text and glow a bit. I also lowered the text size on the purple banner to allow more of the background detail to come through. Hopefully it's a step in the right direction. And THANK YOU everyone for all of the kind words about the banners I created. It really makes my heart happy to see them so well received. <3 <3 I do feel like I'm kinda cheating by posting two banners but on the other hand, I'd love to see some more banners from the folks who have already created some. Convert a melodic element into a rhythmic element...

^i think your second one is my favorite. reminds me of (as mckenna put it) the meat locker yet it's oddly benevolent. Quote:And THANK YOU everyone for all of the kind words about the banners I created. It really makes my heart happy to see them so well received. <3 <3 same to anyone who liked mine

I really like Meditating Tree Man but it seems more "Salvia" than "DMT", IMO. (I have experience with both, so that's what I'm basing it off of).

I absolutely love the animated one! what I think we need now is a gallery for all the banners. it's kind of hard browsing through all the pages of the thread to look at all of them... would this be possible to create within a reasonable amount of time/effort? Again, the surprise factor in the random rotating top banner is a nice extra treat for the community I finally had some time to contribute, leaving it here. Keep them coming! I agree about the whole rotating its great, really appreciate all the different ones and think it should stay on constant rotation, and great work mate liked seeing yours the other day!

Thank you, Infinite I I really like finding ways to contribute to the site that do not require skills I do not possess, such as decent chemical knowledge, extensive assay experiences and so on. I hope to be able some day to share with you guys significant information or findings. I'd love that, I've always needed to contribute in order to feel okay in any community. So, in the meantime, noob-friendly initiatives are welcome. They are a nice outlet for this need to bring something. Also, thanks again to MC for the banner gallery thread.
