raetsch's encyclopedia mentions it contains mescaline, but not how much anybody has any idea? is it enough to be worth an extraction attempt?

Don't know. As for the typo in the heading, you can actually edit that and correct it you know since itβs your thread. You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. I try to sneak back from time to time under different names, but unfortunately, the moderators of the DMT-Nexus are infinitely smarter than I am.

I can get you a %. Give me a bit... It contains very little I know that... but hey lets say you were clearing some land with Optunia on it... well... why not? The higest mescaline content cacti of the genus Opuinta have is 0.001. I looked it up the other day. Can you give us a source? Which species have alkaloids? Are other Alkaloids present?

thanks for the answers
so I guess extraction is not really viable.. needing 100kgs for 1g (2 trips) is just too much plant material first of all to work with, and also its unfair to take out so much plants for so little I think

There have been very little studies done and I'll bet you can find Opuntia with much higher concentrations... Why not extract a small amount and see what it yeilds? Ya!!! Kada is here! Hooray! Quote:One source does claim 0.90% mescaling for O. cylindrica...but that one seems a little iffy in my opinion. That was a mislabled or misidentified Trichocereus pachanoi (see Trout's Notes or Mr.Smith's work). I do not believe any Opuntia cactus is a viable source of mescaline... look at other species... and I don't just mean Trichocereus and Lophophora (I would never extract Lophophora).
