Yeah got a wacom tablet for a gift. Would have never thought of getting one otherwise, love using it. Just really frustrating that corel painter is at number 12 and theres endless bugs in it..

I've not really much clue on how to use photoshop, I just use it for clearing pictures up a bit. Might have more of a look into it if corel continues to frustrate meSmile

nice, i've wanted a wacom for a long time but could never really justify spending the money on one. you could use photoshop for digital painting similarly to corel. you should check out the site cgtalk.com. tons of amazing artists there and 99% of them (2d artists anyways) do all their stuff in ps and/or corel.

Okay here is my banner, would have posted a couple of days ago but the program I'm using caused me too much issues.

Most of the image is taken from a previous image I made which I edited a bit, the two things on the right side of the image is supposed to represent some entities, the eye on the left is from a picture of my girlfriend which I cropped and draw some effects on to it. The font is ofcoarse not mine but I edited it slightly. I may add some more things to it later.

Really hope you like it!

nice space i like it. i just have one small critique, i feel like the large entity on the right draws the eye too much because it's sharper (not as smooth) as the rest of the image. so i was thinking maybe blur it a tiny bit and move it down a tad. up to you though

i want to see that full image that you used and that you have as your avatar. i'm guessing it's pretty cool.

i keep messing with mine but i think i'm just gonna stay with the one i uploaded. i added a space image as a blending layer but i think that might go against the rules anyways.

and yea now that i've seen universecannon's i'm just not gonna mess with it anymore. we all know what the banner's gonna be now haha.

Thanks, appreciated. Yeah that thing really pops out of the image with vibrance above all else in the image.. Maybe I will change that at some point. If I give it some more blur it will give it depth of field making it look more in the distance rather than sat right on the image itself.

You can check the full image out in the art section. It's titled something like Art 'inspired from the deep'. Although the actual image size is huge, so you can't really see the detail.

I think it shouldn't be a problem for you to add the space image. And I'm not sure if it's right but I was in the belief that if you edit a photo some degree it's not a copyright issue.

It is VERY important that no copyrighted material will be used. Using a copyrighted image to begin with is still copyright infringement so please refrain from using that.

Ah so your right. that's interested because on youtube say, people aren't allowed to upload videos they don't own, so they get taken down, so people legally get round that by changing the sound in someway to avoid it. That's what I thought you could do with images, just changing them enough to defy them as a different image. Changing even one pixel technically makes it a different image.. Anyhow, better to avoid any issues with just not using copyrighted.

I guess that changing the sound and the video a bit will result in bypassing Youtube's automatic copyright material detection system.

So I think it's only a bypass of an automatic system and not a bypass of the law.

well i'm pretty sure space images are allowed be used under creative commons. so you're allowed to remix it and things of that nature.

i'm gonna post it just for the hell of it, if that's not alright you can just remove it from my post

i also made a wallpaper version if anyone wants to use it

edit: yea so i just looked up the image i used and it's allowed to be used under creative commons as long as credit is given

this is the image i used.

Hahaha.. Okay, thanks. Didn't know that. They seriously have something like that? I wonder how that works. I just thought people flagged videos.

I do think it's interesting though how something like pictures can be copyrighted. I get it from a moral perspective, but it's just pixels/light.. Nobody owns that. The creator doesn't own that, that person is technically just manipulating or copying too. They copy an image when taking a picture, and even when they create something digitally they are just taking light and manipulating it. Know what I mean? Although yeah okay, I wouldnt like someone taking my work, unless they made it clear it wasn't there's..

Just a thought..
