This is intended as sort of a music-swapping style thread for relevant philosophy and psychedelic inquiry, focused on more recent work. I hope you will post here and we can keep using it as a great tool for sharing wisdom! I have a few links I'd like to share, and more importantly, I hope you'll share some too. Very happy

Essays, web pages, lectures, books and reviews, whatever else with a reasonable philosophical/psychedelic bend are things most all of us love to pour over, so link the ones you feel are worth sharing! I like to keep up on things when possible, so I'll be doing the same! So long as it belongs over here and not up in Through the Looking Glass (just to keep it neat), please post it up!

So whatcha got, Nexus?

Enlighten Me. Pleased

(If there's already a thread like this that I missed, please let me know/move/merge/delete this thread as needed)

Dr. Martin W. Ball is a guy I more recently heard of, and I'm digging his work so far. He's big into various approaches to all sorts of fantastic topics, and takes a very practical, sensible approach to them.

Some of his work is a bit silly for my taste, but I'm linking him more for his approach to non-duality, religion and entheogen use and his modern take on a lot of the good ol stuff. I enjoy his goofy heartfelt style, and I think most will as well. I'm admittedly not too familiar with his work, but I bet you can find something that interests you.

As always, an open mind and a fat bowl are a plus:

my smile is stuck / i cannot go back to your frownland / my spirit is made up of the ocean / and the sky and the sun and the moon / and all my eye can see / i cannot go back to your land of gloom / where black jagged shadows / remind me of the coming of your doom / i want my own land / take my hand and come with me / it's not too late for you / it's not too late for me / to find my homeland / where a man can stand by another man / without an ego flying / with no man lying / and no one dying by an earthly hand / let the devils burn and the beggar learn / and the little girls that live in those old worlds / take my kind hand / my smile is stuck / i cannot go back to your frownland / i cannot go back to your frownland

Thank you for the links! There's some interesting stuff there! Very happy

Most people have seen or heard of this guy in educational material and interviews, and I'm including him in the thread because, although he's an astrophysicist, he's got some humorous and raving input on experience at large that I enjoy for entertainment and edification.
