So i started with 10 grams of yopo. I tried to do a bufo extraction to make bufochanga, but that kinda failed pretty bad, and I am stuck with a bunch of sticky resinated passsionflower leaves. I made some snuff for my friend. When I made it, I made enough for 2 people, but I ended up having to take care of him. It was made with 3 grams of yopo to a gram of edible lime. So basically I have 4 grams of the yopo snuff, but I have no idea what to do with it.

I kinda want to snort it (as in tradition) but this is a little frightening, especially after seeing the intense journey my friend had.

I kind of want to smoke it, but It definitely can't be to good for your lungs to smoke lime.

Sooooo yea.... I am kinda stuck. What should i do with it? Would it be ok to smoke.... or should i try another extraction?

P.S. I also have about 1 gram of 5x yopo, basically pulled with IPA and evapped onto passionflower, but I have tried to smoke it and have never gotten anything. Thoughts on this would be appreciated as well.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Nothing scary about it..bufotenine has very little psychedelic mental effects. your friend most likely just was having problems with dealing with hallucinating. It is EXTREMELY visionary and that can be alarming I guess.. I have taken bufotenine over 100 times and it is quite benign a substance mentally compared to something like DMT or psilocin, LSD etc.. You just feel sedated..it is not a stimulant at all. It is a sedative. It is very very hallucinogenic but nothing about it is frightening in my opinion because mentally you are fine. Sometimes I can hallucinate really hard with bufotenine having such realistic visions even with open eyes but mentally I am bored, no though looping or anything and just end up thinking about something else completely unrelated. I dont know why your friend would have such a hard time with it besides having to deal with the sickness(which is bad) or just that they get freaked out by hallucinating. Trust me, once you get used to bufotenine you will know what I am talking about..it is not like DMT at all..the mental effects of DMT are absent with bufotenine and they are what cause alot of the fear.

WHy do feel that your bufochanga failed? A sitcky resinated leaf mix is the stuff you want..mine is always like that. Smoke it but have a bucket ready(seriously it gets bad)..smoke it until you are seeing the grids. If you stop because of the sickness you might not get there. The sickness level starts before the trip level..so you have to endure it. In that sense bufotenine is not for the faint of heart...but dont worry about the trip freaking you out or anything. It really is the least frightening of all the psychedelics I have come across. It is weird being able to sit there and have the strongest visions Ive had yet still be able to think so clearly I could answer the phone and keep a conversation with my grandmother if I had to.
Long live the unwoke.

Thank you for the reassurance fractal. The trip was the least of my worries though, I have ridden out some pretty hard ones before and come out alright. I was more worried about the sickness aspect.

When insufflated, does the sickness last the whole trip? How do you get through it?

Also, how many bowls of your bufochanga would you say you smoke before you start the grids. A lot of time when i have tried to smoke it, the smoke gets really harsh on my throat, which turns me off.

So with my snuff mixture, would you say to go the traditional way, or try smoking it?

All I know is that snorting Yopo snuff was one of the most painful and nose gunking experiences I have had. the trip was pretty cool, but the initial shock really made the experience difficult. I did find smoking the snuff was better, but it was hard to get enough to have a decent experience. wonder if you could try extracting it or maybe doing a IPA tar extraction?

I like to smoke it but I also snuff it. I dont take it often anymore though.

With my changa( I dont know how concentrated yours is) I only need about 3 big hits and I hold them..Not even 1 full bowl..the stuff is so resinous it smokes slow.

When I smoke the sickenss lasts from 3-5 minutes..not the whole trip. Snuffing it lasts a bit longer but I have gone far deeper smoking so I seem to have gotten sicker that way. I need to experiment more with snuffed bufotenine. Drink some ginger before you take it and do not have a full stomach and it will lessen the nausea somewhat, but not completely. This is not like ayahuasca nausea..it is far worse and of a different sort, but it is short lived. You will be fine I am sure..just make sure that you take enough of it, becasue having to deal with that nausea without taking enough to trip is dissapointing.

I extract abotu 40 seeds and make changa with not even 1 gram of leaf. The more concentrated the better so you might need to smoke more depending on how concentrated you made your mix..or your seeds might be weaker I cant say. I like to use vilca and not yopo becasue it is a bit more potent. But yopo should still work fine I dont think the difference is that huge.

Trust me, if you are not having intense visions and the room completely transformed with eyes open you have not taken enough. If it worked for your friend then the seeds should be good. Taking some caapi before hand can really help, and if you try to smoke some with oral DMT it gets very very intense, and more scary.

Ive heard this from many ppl now jamie, I cannot begin to even fathom, nor rap my head around anything being more nauseous than MHRB ayahuasca. Im getting my first delivery of cebil seeds today and I am very excited to experience nausea on this level.
Like I said, it just absolutely bewilders me... trying to imagine something more nauseous than mimosa aya.
Nonetheless, I am in much anticipation to experiment with this (new-to-me) substance.
It would appear as though the trips reports similarly to dmt, are quite subjective. Some hate it, some love it. Some get intense visuals on par with dmt, some get very little. Some get cev's some get oev's, some get both, some like i said get none.
Should be an interesting nex few weeks Shocked

Totally different level of nausia/sedativeness. This one kinda feels like death. I recommend de-shelling and smoking 1 or 2 husks (they come off easily once toasted a bit) to get a taste of it prior to tripping.

Hi Bigmak,

Starting off with plain seed is rather interesting, also a good chance to learn the nature of Bufotenine.

Simply heat the seeds for 3-5 minutes in a pan on the stove until the seeds pop, then crush the seeds to a fine powder ( the outer black part can be removed but takes some time ) ultimately removing the hard outer casing to the seeds makes the smoking of the seeds more efficient

I find the nausea to be rather harsh a this point depending on the batch of seeds so what i tend to do is leave the seeds in a vial for a week or two. After this the seeds seem to produce much less nausea and more psychedelic effects.

Just fill a small bowl with the resinous powder and smoke slowly until your are unable to smoke more.

After this you could try smoking a couple bowls of Caapi leaf beforehand, this tends to prolong the experience and tends to pull you deeper.

On a few occasions i have consumed 3.5 grams of Sryian rue seeds ground and swallowed, followed approximately 30-45 minutes later with a bowl of yopo. This has produced some rather profound effects lasting around 30 minutes with an afterglow reminiscent of Mimosahuasca.

Although the nausea can be very intense, its a rather peculiar sensation that i found shifts to the genitals if they become stimulated.

Much love for your journey ... and have a bucket near by, whereas Mimosa gives me fair
warning.... yopo can be violent and almost animal like.

How do you feel about chewing on some caapi vine before hand then doing the snuff.

OP: Did you freebase the beans before making the changa?

I believe the natives chewed Caapi before/during smoking the freebase yopo in mapacho cigars.

If nausea is a worry; avoid it completely with Lemon essential oil, 5 drops in a capsule (dilute with olive oil) 20 minutes before vaporizing the Bufo should do it.

My dog has even enjoyed eating several (freebased) Cebil beans (sometimes with rue) after the Lemon essential oil dosing... with no nausea. The oil is way better at 5-HT3 antagonization than Ginger root.

If smoking is the objective; freebasing with clean, clear (surfectant-free) ammonia is said to be best. It evaporates cleanly... toasting before-hand is still recommended.

Ones' MAOI might be freebased likewise; for greater effects. My dog used to do a Yopo freebasing tek on his rue, mixing it with as and water before drying and it yielded a MUCH more potent smoke... He imagines this could be done with Caapi (leaf) also.

Good call on MAOI before Yopo. Some natives are said to mix Caapi powder in with the Yopo itself.

Blessings.
