It seems like there are a lot of particularly health conscious folks here at the Nexus so why not make a dedicated area just for ways to promote good health and over all good well being?

I know that there is a Health and Safety forum but that's primarily related to safe entheogenic use so I wouldn't want anything in there to get watered down with anything not relating to entheogens.

I figured the soda article/question I just posted would have fit more appropriately under a Health & Well Being related forum.

Just a thought. <3

Yes! A Health and wellness area where we could discuss traditional and natural/holistic nutrition, health, diet, supplements, exercise, etc.

Cool

Possibly just rename Help and Advice for Healing to Health and Well Being. No need to use this section exclusivly for states of health attained by psychedelics, especially if you view them as part of your diet (just like other fruits, vegetables, supplements). The nexus is already full of subsections, i'd be vary of redundancies.

Well I had thought about that but Help and Advice should be strictly for people reaching out. If we see something posted in that forum, we'll just automatically know someone needs a hand.

For the Health and Well Being, that would be unsolicited advice from people already in the know and would like to help others along their path.

Maybe merge all three health foras into one new health forum and make it explicit what each is intended for?

If not, no worries.. I'm not trying to push the issue by any means... just throwing it out there.

I agree with you, that this topic is of interest and an essential part of the psychedelic experience and life as a whole. It is also a very worthwhile goal to focus on. Better health and diet is something very tangible coming out of the psychedelic experience.

I must call shenanigans on using the word natural to describe one practice/diet/pursuit/treatment/whatever over another.

Everything is natural.

That said, i would like to see a health and wellbeing section. We need not to start dishing out medical advice in such situations where a doctor might be called for, this has been discussed at length many times here and i feel like some common sense is in order.

Perhaps our illustrious leader may open this new section with a clearly defined statement about what qualifies as suitable/unsuitable, and may we as a community define our limits of discussion using rational.

Personally i would love to have a space to share experience in regards to health. Mostly preventative rather then treatment. Dietary choices... the effects of such. Yoga advice, rehab tips ect.

What i do not want to see is people arguing over conventional medicine vs homeopathy or some equally dimwitted polarized non relative keyboard battle.

Bah! Semantics.Very happy I'm just using that word because it relates to holistic health and helps contrast the more traditional approaches towards health and diet.Wink

add me to the support list! Natural health is my passion. I would reek havoc on this sub-forum.
