Caapi Tea and Syrian Rue Tea: Couple Questions Options

Ok, I just had a couple quick questions about making these teas. Any help would be great.

I have been researching this and I found that in order to make 1 dose of caapi tea, the following method is how to do it:

60 grams in a pot of water. Maybe add some lemon to acidify it. Boil it for an hour or so and
drain the water into another pot. Add fresh water to the caapi plant material and repeat a
few times until the tea starts coming out clear. Maybe you need three washes. Reduce the
other pot down to a cup or so and drink.

1. Does that method sound good to you guys?

2. Can you use the same method to make Syrian Rue tea?

3. 60 grams is a good does for caapi. How many grams do you need if you use Syrian Rue?

4. When boiling/reducing down the amount of liquid, you are only losing water right? You are not boiling away any of the actual caapi/rue?

Syrian Rue is quite powerful. I'd start off with 3g of Rue only.
To make the tea, it's a lot easier than caapi.

Simmer (dont boil) 3g of ground up Rue for about 20-30 minutes, strain it, and drink it.

I wait about an hour after tea ingestion to smoke Changa. Prolongs and slows down the trip and greatly adds its own feel to it.


About the caapi.
To answer your last question, you're only reducing to lose water and have a feasible drinkable amount (about a cup). It taste horrible so the less you have, the easier it is to drink. You dont lose potency by reducing.
The boiling process traditionally is 3 washes of 3 hours each.
Gibrane also ran an experiment that showed it doesn't need to be boiled that long.

One thing though, you said smoke changa after drinking the Syrian Rue....I could also take some DMT after the Syrian Rue for Pharma right?

so if i wanted to make a caapi tea for 2 or 3 people, can i boil 60g down to 3 cups for 3 people? Or do i have to boil 60g 3 seperate times?

I'd personally boil 120g's per person = 3 x 1 hour boils on 360g's caapi, maybe doing a 4th boil for 2-3 hours, just to be sure. Then reduce that to about 400-500ml so each person has 2 shot sized doses.

This way's got the insurance factor of having a second dose to use if the first dose doesn't take effect, which can be quite common.

Ok. 120g seems high for a first time dose from what i've read. Maybe I'll cut 360g in half and have a second 60g shat if the first isn't enough.

so if i do a caapi or rue tea and smoke changa, should i make my changa at a smaller spice to leaf ratio? Lets say 1g leaf to .5g spice? My leaf is 10x caapi. Or can i smoke my 1:1 changa(to much spice?)

Would a rue tea and 10x caapi changa be too much maoi?

I just realized I never asked how to strain it. Do you just use a cotton shirt or something?

Brew it in a large cotton tea bag, or filter with something like a shirt, or cheese cloth.

Has Anyone here had any experience MiXing Rue Tea with Caapi Tea ??

I have about 15 grams of Rue seed

AND

A very small piece of Caapi vine about 2 - 3 grams, it looks to be off a very young plant also!


i am thinking about a PHARMAhuasca.

I have taken RUE by itself before, about 5 grams of seeds, only simmered though never ground up, and only drank the water - i had very very pleasant calming effects and warmth and you could call a calming buzz and cleansed feeling.

What you think of mixing the Rue and Caapi ?
for a pharahuasca.


I have never tried Caapi.
i will never get hold of more than i presently am in possession of, where i live now any way!


Or how much more do you think i would get from the Rue seeds, if i ground them down in tea and drank the seeds and all? - Think this would be plenty to facilitate a Pharma ??

sidefx, i love mixing the to...especially since caapi is so expensive these day. Its nice to take a medium dose of caapi and then add a gram or two of rue to give it that boost into the psychedelic space. Although 2-3 grams of caapi vine is virtually nothing and for many people not even enough to notice anything, but it is a nice amount to microdose daily
