I was reading about Ayahausca and they use Caapi as their MAOI and then some plant that contains DMT.

So, if you do a Pharma with Caapi tea and then swallow your freebase or acidified DMT crystals, is that basically a Ayahausca experience?

Yeah. I toss freebase into my brew and stir it while it's on the stove. Binds to tannic acid.

Really?

So this takes away the need for putting the freebase in the orange or lemon juice.

At what point do you put your freebase into the caapi brew? I mean, I know it takes a long time to brew, so how close to the end of brewing do you put it in there?

After filtration (I don't filter because I use large tea bags) during the reduction stage I add the freebase and stir vigorously until dissolved. You can watch it do so. It's a bit hesitant at first but it works great.

Ok cool, so after doing a few extractions of the caapi you add the dmt when you are reducing it.

I've never done it before, just read about it. Got my caapi a few days ago. Can't wait.

Let us know how it goes! Start with ~50mg I would suggest.

Will do thanks man.

I hear 45-60 grams of caapi is a good starting point?

Yeah go with 60. Work your way up from there in the following sessions. I like ~100g depending on the specific material.

you will need less DMT if you take it after the caapi has kicked in. I have tested this thoroughly. I used to always brew the DMT admix into the caapi..now I always dose it 15-20 minutes after I drink the caapi. It is significantly more powerful this way..

I brew a little bit of chaliponga in with my caapi but that is just for the hell of it. Then I drink 2-3 of mimosa about 20 minutes in. If I brew the mimosa into the caapi I would need 5g to get the same effects of 2-3 taken after.

And yeah start with 60g. If you only dose 45g you will need more DMT again, as 45g is not going to inhibit MAO-A as much as 60g will.

interesting that there are different opinions on when to take the DMT.....one says to put it in with the caapi tea and fractal says to take it after the tea......I guess I will have to try both at some point. Smile

Well fractal is right, if you take harmalas before you take harmalas+dmt it will be more effective. This doesn't mean that taking them together isn't effective.

For example, I've seen 100mg harmine 100mg DMT consistently floor anyone who takes it..

Personal preference.

Not sure. Never tried that. I only find caapi to be nauseating after 120 grams.

nausea is due to harmalas IMO. Tannins dont cause nausea in my experience. Pure harmalas themselves cause the same sort of nausea as a caapi brew for me.

If you dont want the nausea ever(sometimes there is none) then LSD or something might be a better choice.

Tannins cause my friend to have really bad nausea, he usually gets worse nausea than me with cappi. He says if he was to drink black tea it would make him ill due to the amount of tannins, so with him the tannins definitely effect things.

I wish it did me! I have got up to 150mg harmaline and 120mg fumarate and only light effects. I am now doing more experiments with predosing the harmalas. Seems to be just as strong with less so far. Still not got where I want to though.

This is absolutely right. When the stomach is full of MAOI´s, the DMT will be completely surounded by it and fully protected. If you take the DMT with the harmala´s, it won´t have the same degree of protection. You shouldn´t wait too long either, because then some harmala´s will already have left the stomach.

It´s also true that taking just a little more harmala´s than strictly needed for MAO inhibition, will give a stronger experience. There is not one sharp line where you suddenly have full MAO inhibition. It´s an area of around 50 grams of caapi, where 40 grams could be just too little to give that full MAO inhibiting effect and leaves you with only very mild DMT effects, 50 grams can cause just enough inhibition to give full blown DMT effects, and 60 grams can give a total protection of all the DMT you take, resulting in an even stronger experience.

I wonder how you can drink a mimosa tea 20 minutes after taking the caapi tea, that would make me puke instantly, is it an acquired capability ?

Great breakdown. Thanks for that.
