Morning,
I am planning on making some 10X admixtures for my next batch of changa, i will be making the changa as normal (1:1 with 10X caapi and Jimjam). I am also planning on making some 10X blue lotus and 10X lions tale (10g of each) which i will also evap into the Changa.

My questions are-

1) how much IPA/Acetone will be nessesary to accomadate all the alks in these plants?
(When i make 10X caapi i just put the leaves in jar and put enough solvent in to cover the leaf, after the leaves break down there is about an inch between the leaf level and solvent level)

2) should i just stick them all in 1 jar (caapi/lions tale/blue lotus) and leave for the month, shaking daily. Or should they be done seperately, (im guessing it makes no difference)

3) Has anyone done this and found that the 10X infusions made a difference to the experience? did it make much difference compared to addding the plant in its natural form (1X).

cheers

Here is my limited response:

Most experienced users say IPA/Acetone is terrible at extracting alkaloids from the plants; most users suggest extracting to freebase "crystal/powder" form. There are a few teks in the wiki and throughout the forum. This is the recommended route.

Many people just let the caapi soak for 4 weeks in the IPA. Hold the jar to the light and see that the solvent shines a dark red when held to the sun; that's when it's ready.

You only need enough solvent to cover the material. Shake it every so often.
If i were you, i would do each of the herbs in different containers and then mix in the desired ratio once it's ready because they each offer different qualities that you could experiment with.

The 10x for sure makes a difference with Caapi; it becomes "ayahuascaesque"; much more powerful. This is many people's preferred form of changa.
I can't comment on 10x of other herbs, as i haven't tried it nor have i read about any enhanced effects with it.
Try it out, though, and let us know what each adds to the experience!
