Well, I had 9 plants this year, 2 nurtured indoors over the winter and 7 from cuttings (2 died) that were all placed out in my yard in may. Other than a little slug damage and some minor aphid colonies (curled leaves on a couple of the plants), all but one thrived, this lone one staying small for some unknown reason... the tallest one attained 4 feet and had HUGE leaves. I have dried my harvest, but have yet to weigh it for yield, but suffice to say, I have way more than I need... jbark attached the following image(s): salvia plants (1 of 4).jpg (710kb) downloaded 320 time(s). salvia plants (2 of 4).jpg (711kb) downloaded 319 time(s). salvia plants (3 of 4).jpg (663kb) downloaded 319 time(s). salvia plants (4 of 4).jpg (548kb) downloaded 317 time(s). salvia plants (2 of 3).jpg (838kb) downloaded 318 time(s). salvia plants (3 of 3).jpg (749kb) downloaded 320 time(s).JBArk is a Mandelthought; a non-fiction character in a drama of his own design he calls "LIFE" who partakes in consciousness expanding activities and substances; he should in no way be confused with SWIM, who is an eminently data-mineable and prolific character who has somehow convinced himself the target he wears on his forehead is actually a shield.

Absolutely gorgeous! Seeing this makes me so excited to get my plant in the mail. Is there any particular reason you harvested the entire plants rather than just the leaves? (Forgive me for my ignorance salvia master, this will be my first time growing S. divinorum). I am seriously making all of this stuff up. No, really.

I still wish my plant had made it through the mail. Stupidly I ordered it during the fall and it was completely liquified when it arrived. I won't be smoking salvia anytime soon and would be hesitant to work with her again but I have heard good things about quidding and may like to try one day. I would on the other hand love to grow one, they are so beautiful, its something about the leaves they just look special 'Little spider weaves a wispy web, stumblin' through the woods it catches to my head. She crawls behind my ear and whispers secrets. Dragonfly whiz by and sings now teach it.'

Those are some nice size leaves beside that bottle. I need to get a working digital camera so I can take some pics of harvest and extraction.

Said in a sing-song child-like, salvia-trip voice: “Nah, nah. My leaf’s bigger than your leaves!” gibran2 attached the following image(s): big leaf3.jpg (47kb) downloaded 278 time(s).gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

A few of you "masters" ought to put together a cultivation tek on the wiki or elsewhere for the less inclined to growing mammoth Salvia leaves! I would love to hear all the details on your growing practices: soil, light, food, watering, etc. I just accidentally revived my Salvia by placing her in a small humidity tent. For some reason the large one I fashioned didn't hold the humidity well. So I'm back in the game and seeing nice healthy growth. Nothing like these fine specimens though. Thanks for sharing! I didn't. I cut the stalks down to a node, like making an already rooted cutting, then took the leaves off and discarded the stalks. This is the best of both worlds: you get all or most of the leaves, and a plant that will grow back, but is ready for an interior winter storage. Good luck with your plants! I am so jealous of all of you right now. I have definitely said this more than once, but I can't freakin wait until I can grow my own. Let the plants guide you, for they teach lessons beyond what we humans can offer. Distorted is our perception of reality, because reality is much more distorted than we could ever perceive it to be.

All you need is a bright windowsill (and a cuttig, of course...) Oh, I forgot to mention, I gave one of the plants (before harvesting, of course) to Shayku, a nexus member and friend who lives in my town. Find a donor where you live! ^^ That is what is holding me back. I really don't have any way to get a cutting. Also, I do not own the house, and I am not quite sure what I would tell to the owner should she ask any questions regarding the plant next to the window. Should you get ahold of a cutting, there are easy solutions to the 2nd problem: tell the owner it is an a plant indigenous to Mexico that was given to you. Anyway, I understand the difficulty and I hope you find some way of getting around it - they are very rewarding plants to grow! Oh man, these are beautiful. Something about power plants, they just LOOK magical! One day I'll have my own beauties in the chagras! بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

So does this mean you left the main stem (from what I can tell this is called the "internode"?) intact? I am seriously making all of this stuff up. No, really.
