There's way too much for me to read there. I could spend my entire life reading all of the implications of this from different perspectives. But it is fascinating.

If you know for a fact you are a simulation and yet that there is no way to come out of it, would it make any difference for your daily life? Would anything change?

I know for me it wouldnt.... Im still gonna try to live this simulation as best as I can Smile

Yeah, personally I don't think it would change anything. But obviously there is a lot of debate about that which you can read...

This was one notion that hyperspace entertained within my consciousness. It told me that not only was I a product of some simulation, but it was also experimental and everything that was ever thought/done was logged in DNA and uploaded wirelessly to some galactic hub of consciousness or something.

I can't actually believe this. The fact is, I have no idea. Hyperspace is really good at generating ideas, though.

If anything the idea has made life more enjoyable because I now see how deep and absurd our situation really is.

You know me too well. Smile

I’ll make a more detailed post when I have more time, but for now I’ll say this:

We are Sims. And we are “real”. And we are neither. And it ultimately doesn’t matter.
gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

I don't think it really matters and there are ways to tell it with 100% certainty.

Whatever...Wink

I found this so funny because just recently was thinking the same thought. if we were all Sims......, i just picture all of us with our meter bars that tells, our hygiene, when we are sleepy, hungry, when we gotta use the bathroom etc etc.

lol very funny i should stumble upon this post.

It is fun thinking this way from time to time. I like to walk my dog while looking for golden coins and secret levels and to unlock hidden characters. And to find the games glitches, of course. It's similar to thoughts I had as a child: the classic what if we're merely cells floating through the body of much larger being, much like our own cells floating about, doing their jobs with their brothers and sisters, completely unaware of the greater whole of which they are a part of . . .

hm. hopefully whoever's in control is a lot nicer to her sim's than I was when I played that game. have there been a lot of cases of pool ladders disappearing after everyone's in the pool?
