Was reading a couple of very interesting threads on THH extraction from B.Caapi on the nexus the other day. People were trying to do a "full spectrum" harmine harmaline THH extraction. It occured to me that in order for an Aya brew to work obvioulsy the full spectrum of alkaloids is being extracted simply through the act of boiling in water. Could the water not simply be boiled off leaving residue containing the desired alkaloids?

I am interested in in using it in gel caps in combination with DMT fumarate and l-tryptophan so not too fussed about it being purest of pure crystals provided it fits in the caps. would a method this simple work?

Resin should work...I know some members have had success with it. An a/b extraction of vine will also leave you with full-spectrum alkaloids.

A bit odd how the title doesn't really have to do with your question. But there are problems with resin.

= capping does not work as strongly as tea, especially if you leave your resin in solid form. If it's in solid form, it may take a long time for it to dissolve in the stomach. Maybe too long to be completely effective.

= resin can be very difficult to scrape up.

= at least for mimosa, boiling does not get all the alkaloids. Boiling destroys some of the non dmt alkaloids, like yuremamine, a wonderful substance. The only way to get that yuremamine is a cwe, and drink the tea. I guess you could air dry cwe mimosa but it will take very long.

= unknown how long resins last. The oils might putrify.

= users have reported more nausea from using resins, not less.

So, you can boil it down and take resin, but I think you are better off just getting used to drinking the tea. You can put a brew in the fridge and it lasts a long time. Syrian Rue on the other hand...... that's one thing that tastes so bad I won't blame anyone for capping it. But I think you can get used to mimosa and caapi. I went through the resin idea myself. Eventually, I just concede to drink the tea.

Useful information, thank you.

The question was about doing a crude extraction with water to remove all the B.Carbolines as I have heard it said that some extractions are thought to leave behind the THH. Thus "Extracting THH from B.Caapi" seemed an appropriate descriptor. Had I known it would yield a resin I might have titled it differently, sorry for any inconvenience caused.

This isn't really relevant for caapi though. Boiling is the most efficient way to get out alks...with boiling acidified water being at the tippy-top, ime.
