My friend has been very absent minded, and with his last order, forgot to order caapi leaves. However, he very much wants to make some changa, for the smoother ride. MUST caapi leaf be used, or is there an alternative(s)? Love. "Mama matrix most mysterious." James Joyce

Erm I have done, but the recurring theme seems to be that caapi leaf must be used to be called changa... I suppose Im asking, is it absolutely essential (ie. is it not worth using anything else, or is there a convenient alternative without having to pay more postage and packing etc.). Apologies if I am being very dense and Ive missed something, but I dont have the time to read through absolutely all the threads. I have already read through many, and cant find the answer. If a leaf contains harmalas, it's changa...otherwise it's dmt-enhanced leaf. This is literally the first paragraph for changa on the wiki: Quote:In traditional Changa mixes a blend of herbs were used in combintion with an MAOI containing leaf, typically Caapi. However this isn't necessary, I actually find the non-MAOI containing leafs to be more enjoyable. You don't have to research what leafs are going to work best together or worry about what ratios between different leafs are needed. Simply pick a herb from the list and use it as the stand alone ingredient for the Enhancement, this will give you a sure and thorough understanding of the effects of each leaf and is my preferred method. If further down the track you feel like experimenting you could then mix and match with the herbs you liked best or try out one of the suggested blends. Check my signature for a handy dandy guide for using extracted harmalas to make changa. The Tao of Rue will show you how to acquire the extracted harmalas unless you're extracting from caapi, and in that case I recommend Gibran2's Tek. Convert a melodic element into a rhythmic element...
