So my friend recieved a package this morning with 3 unlabeled bags. One was shredded MHRB - easy enough to tell apart. The other 2 were bags of leaves, unlabeled... One is small, crumpled silvery green looking leaves that smell quite earthy. I think this one is the Chacruna. The other leaves are twice the size and in their dried form are a browny yellowy reddy greeny colour (lol) which leads me to suspect that these are the caapi leaves, they don't look as 'shrubby' as the other leaves either. If anyone in the know could give me a hand, that would be MUCH appreciated, my buddy wants to get his Changa blend on the go and doesn't want to mess up the proportions!

Peace and Love,
Px

Yes, That sounds like the chacruna.

Like endlessness said its hard to give you a definitive answer without seeing pictures.

Thanks for the help guys, I do have a camera, but no proper internet at the moment (using my phone)...
Morning, The silvery geeen leaves look much like the Chacruna leaf pic that you posted, I am confident I know which is which now, so thank you. I'll get some pics posted tomorrow just to verify any way.

The cool thing about cielo leaves is the tips of the leaves twist either to the left or the right, coming to an almost-spiral pointed tip. It's really beautiful if you can make this out, but it might be hard to tell from dried leaves.

Yep, seems correct. Smile Strange how brown the caapi leaves are though, mine are much more green.

Yes, you've got it right. The caapi (on the left) does seem more brown than what I've had in the past. I don't know if that makes a difference though.

I have smoked the caapi leaf on its own to good effect, so it seems ok... As for the chacruna, will it still be active? Kinda wanted to add it to my first Aya brew...

Well there's only one way to find out!

when you make your aya are you brewing it with caapi vine or were you going to use those leaves? IMO the leaves would be great for changa but not so much for ayahuasca.

I have some vine for Aya, and leaves for Changa Smile I can always Smoalk some changa if the leaves (heaven forbid) turn out to be duds...

Yeah you could do that.

You could also brew your vine separate from your chacruna and drink the vine only first. When you feel the vine kick in drink the chacruna.

You said you have some mimosa too right? Cause you could brew some mimosa tea to keep on hand. Give it plenty of time and if you don't feel much from the chacruna drink some mimosa tea!

I doubt if your leaves are complete duds. Its impossible to know just by looking at them though. Chacruna does have a reputation for varying widely in DMT content. They could possibly be weak on the other hand they could be really intense. Only one way to tell for sure!
