So recently I have been re-considering my policy on Sally: don't do it! Lol this was after an epic ass kicking where I was ground down an organic machine like tunnel, and was reconstituted as part of the floor. It was far from pleasant, but totally my fault. It was after a night out, I had been drinking and smoking weed, and some 20x extract appeared. Now me, having tripped on various substances before hand, including several non events with plain leaf, thought it would be a good idea to take as large a hit as possible, being a regular bong smoker, you can imagine the size of cone I took. Stupid boy. The plant teacher taught me a lesson that day and I have been extremely reluctant to revisit. But recently, having been disolved and re constituted by my new powerful ally DMT (<3), learning the importance of doing these things alone, or with one or two like minded people, and to completely surrender to the experience, I feel I am ready to give it another chance. I don't like to admit defeat, but five years has passed since then and I think I am in a much more suitable frame of mind for exploring again. What extract would you guys suggest? I will be buying my first batch, then maybe growing my own if we re-unite on good terms. I have some good scales, so dosing extracts won't be a problem, and I will now be very cautious when dosing! I am also interested in the synergy with Changa, so maybe that plays a role with the strength of extract? Any how, thoughts please, I don't need to be told how stupid I was on that fateful night though. I KNOW! ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) we all need our asses kicked from time to time... Purges, 5x is a good one to start with. But with the 20x, all you have to do is just smoke a lot less-say a third to half cone rather than a full one. Perhaps it's best to get your scales out and get weighing rather than eyeballing. "Eat your vegetables and do as you're told, or you won't be going to the funfair!"

Oh yeah, I fully intend to weigh the doses, I feel it is part of the ritual with these substances, and shows respect for their power also, as well as regard for your own mental health / safety. I was just being an idiot that one time. I will have a look what's on offer. I doubt I would ever go beyond 20x, but then again the less smoke I have to inhale, the better. I would start low, 5x or 10x if you insist on getting an extract. I'm a big advocate of plain leaf, but it's true that some people just don't want to inhale that amount of smoke.
As for the synergy between Changa and Salvia, that is most definitely true. I've been working with the two lately, and they compliment each other nicely. I've been using plain leaf only so far, however. If you were to explore the combination, I would definitely start with plain leaf or 5x. The intensity of the Salvia (and the Spice for that matter) is very much increased. I would suggest getting to know Salvia on her own before delving into combinations.

I would get plain leaf and work with quids..Far far more beautiful than smoking IMO. Smoking salvia is just sort of something I dont see the point in doing anymore, although I did it alot at one point. Long live the unwoke.

As long as you weigh your doses, extracts up to 20X are reasonable. A moderate dose of 20X is about 20mg. I’ve always used extracts and find them to provide a consistent, reliable journey with a minimum of inhaled smoke. Plain leaf is a good way to start, but smoking up to half a gram of leaf in a fairly short period of time is something I’d prefer not to do. As far as quid vs. smoking – it’s really a personal preference. The few times I quidded (with fresh leaves), I didn’t find the experience to be very satisfactory. I enjoy the rapid transition that happens during a salvia breakthrough – it’s a very physical/”dimensional” kind of experience. Some find it uncomfortable and may avoid extracts as a result, but I personally like it. gibran2 is a fictional character. Any resemblance to anyone living or dead is purely coincidental.

gibran2 wrote:As far as quid vs. smoking – it’s really a personal preference. I agree. Most of my quidding experiences ended up with me smoking anyhow. Combining the two is very interesting, but, so far at least, I've also found my quidding experiences to be unsatisfactory. And it's not for lack of trying, or tolerance. I do want to quid with some fresh leaf soon, in a large amount, and see how that goes. So I still haven't given up completely!

I'm going to have to agree with the others. 20x is a good place to start, especially considering the amount of smoke you have to inhale. I myself love working with the plain leaf. I have never been able to achieve my goal however, which is to smoalk one bowl of it a night for as many nights in a row, just to see how far the foliage will take me. I haven't had much success with quidding the dry/rehydrated leaves, but I can't wait for the day when I can quid straight from the living plant. Good Luck! Let the plants guide you, for they teach lessons beyond what we humans can offer. Distorted is our perception of reality, because reality is much more distorted than we could ever perceive it to be.

Good Luck! I've attached one of my favorite salvia photos - it's 13 pairs of fresh salvia leaves, which is often the minimum amount traditionally taken. That's a lot of salvia! gibran2 attached the following image(s): ![](/forum/themes/DMT-Nexus/icon_file.gif) 13 pairs.jpg (47kb) downloaded 46 time(s).gibran2 is a fictional character. Oh wow... that is quite the beautiful sight. I am extremely jealous, sir gibran. Let the plants guide you, for they teach lessons beyond what we humans can offer. Distorted is our perception of reality, because reality is much more distorted than we could ever perceive it to be.
