This came to me yesterday while working in the garden after a rather large joint. It wasn't a thought so much as a realisation, so I went to write it down. I have decided to write down, draw, and document as much of the Divine / Other as i can recall, and this seemed like a glimpse of insight into our inner humanity. Maybe. Make of it what you will Very happy

We were created by the creator in order to create.

But it is our choice as to what we create.

Some choose to be artists, some choose to be murderous.

Some choose to create positive energy, while others choose to be consumed by negative energy.

Here endeth the lesson Wink

Peace and Love to all,

I completely agree with your ideas here, Purges. I think we are hard-wired to create because creation is the very essence of ourselves. Like you said, "We were created by the creator" so when we create things it is like our feeble attempt to immolate our creator and try to do as it does.

Kind of like kids trying to act like their parents by dressing up in their clothes or pretending to have their own jobs.

The intriguing part is that we have the choice that you spoke of. What will you create? I think we are all artists in some form or fashion, be it on a musical instrument, an easel, or a football field - We live to create. Do as your creator did. And since we were created out of positivity (I'm pretty sure...) I think it's only natural to be drawn to creating love, or at least expressing it positively.

I'm always curious about the "other side" though, the negative energy creators. What do they create? Violence and discontent? Why do they choose that path? Can their path be changed? I suppose it's up to them.

I'm sure you know some negative energy creators in this realm. I had many more negative tendencies when I was younger, but have gradually started working on that. My GF has a tendency to dwell on the bad stuff, but we all have the power to overcome it, and it is wonderful to see people take those steps.

Personally a big source of positivity for me is, and always has been, creative practise, drawing, making music, cooking, spending time with a loved one, or my animals, smoking some bud or some spice. If you choose to take life too seriously, chances are your life will end up being too serious, things like art and music help us reflect on the human experience. We are very lucky for the opportunity to be able to do these wonderful things.

I agree. Over the last year or two I've been trying to focus my attention to constructive/positive practices, rather than deconstructive/negative ones. I feel like overall I'm becomming a better person for it.

Definitely agree with you there, I have made a real effort to get back into these things that I love so much, yet often neglect. The first steps are the hardest, for sure, slowly but surely...

I feel the same way. The burdens of life tend to slowly dissipate when you realize you are putting more positivity into the world than sorrow. It's a wonderful feeling for sure.

And the first few steps are the toughest without a doubt. But as you gradually progress into the lighter side of life you begin to see your work manifest itself as good feelings and an ease of life that encourages you to carry on SO much.

The world needs our positivity, who are we to deny that?!
