Hello all, I just received 1g of harmine/harmaline 95% pure freebase, and 200mg of harmine 95% as a small gift for ordering. I am planning on using it in accompaniment with vaporized spice, and was wondering what the best method of ingeston would be? I'm used to eating 3g of rue, and I've heard 30mg of H/H freebase taken sublingually is a good dose to potentiate dmt...I've also heard it can be smoked, and was wondering if this was an efficent way of dosing onself with maois, or are the alkaloids sensitive to heat? How much would one need to smoke, and out of what? ...is it enough to produce the same mao inhibiting effects as 3g of rue? LoL...lots of questions I have been unable to find online....If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know!

P.s., what would you guys say is the main difference between harmine/harmaline, and just harmine by itself?

15-30mg taken sublingually 20-30 minutes before vaporizing is a good way to go. I haven’t used isolated harmine and harmaline enough to say how different they are, but I’ve read that harmaline has about twice the MAOI potency as harmine, so you only need to use half as much.

I’ve tried vaporizing harmala alkaloids, and I find the vapor to be harsh and unpleasant. Better to take them sublingually or, with a higher dose, orally. When taken orally, it isn’t necessary to take as much as you would for pharma – no need to inhibit stomach MAO’s, since you’ll be vaporizing the DMT.

so 15-30mg would be equivalent to about how many grams of rue? I'm just trying to get an idea of comfortable dosing...3g of rue always did the trick, so I guess the question is, how many harmala alkaloids are contained within 3g of rue? would it be 15-30mg? Thanks gibran

Alkaloid content of rue is 2-7%, so do the math.

2-7 per gram? if im not mistaken, that means anywhere from 6-21mg of harmalas in 3g of rue?

No, that's actually 60-210mg per 3g of syrian rue

With sublingual harmalas you’re using significantly less than what you’d use for oral MAO inhibition. 15mg harmine is equivalent to about 0.3g of rue, or one-tenth of an oral dose.

sublingual harmalas are nice, but to me it is missing something that oral has...I prefer oral harmalas..I also prefer more than just enough for inhibition. The experience for me is much more "spiritual" with more harmalas. Lately I just prefer oral harmalas with oral DMT...but if you take enough harmalas before hand then vaping it can get close to a full on oral experience.

Fractal, and roughly how many sublingual mgs are we talking (for an oral-type dose)? Would one have to shoot for say, 50? The experiences I got from 1g of 3x rue extract were awesome, and I've even heard that its a weak dose, so I'm looking forward to it...I got 1g of harmine/harmaline, and 8g of 10x rue...Planning on journeying tonight...which should I go for?
