so I have 10 g caapi soaking in 91% ipa right now. in 10-14 days I'll take the menstrate and soak in 1 g caapi for an 11 x leaf right? Can I infuse my dmt at the same time as my 1 g caapi? Or do i let my 11x product dry/evaporate then soak my dmt in ipa???, then add that menstrate to my 11x leaf? Also, what are some methods to speed up evaporating the ipa? I'm positive i used too much ipa to soak my 10 g caapi(i used a tall skinny jar to soak my leaf)

When it comes to the menstrum, I'm of the belief that you can't add "too much" IPA. The more room the alks have to migrate too, the better.

Once you strain the menstrum and add the 1g of fresh caapi leaf, I'd personally recommend allowing that to soak everything up because with a little luck, you'll have well over 1g of 10x caapi. For each gram of the 10x caapi, add 1g of spice.

As far as evaporating the IPA, it's all about surface area. Once again, with my personal preference, I like to use a shotglass when making small quantities. I'll put the 1g of fresh caapi in the shotglass and keep adding the menstrum as it soaks it up. This way I know the leaf absorbs the majority of the alks and they don't just get stuck to the evap container.

Once everything is mostly soaked up, I'll move it to a pyrex baking dish to allow for a more complete evap. I'll usually leave it in the baking dish for at least a day or two to make sure all of the IPA has evapp'd. A small fan greatly speeds up this process.

There's a ton of different ways to do it. I've just listed what works best for me. Good luck with everything!

thank you. So what u are saying is I'll dump my 10x menstrate over my 1g fresh leaves a little at a time and that will actually turn that 1g into more than 1g correct?(becuase the menstrate/alks will actually add weight to the leaves?)

Once all is dry i soak my spice in ipa? 40ml per g? then i pour over caapi at a 1:1 ratio?

Sorry if I'm coming off a little stupid, it's been a while since I've done any chemistry work. Plus even if i get it, i like to be reassured just to make sure I dont make a boneheaded move and ruin something.

On another note concerning your first post, if you only soak it for 10-14 days, I'd definitely give it another soak or two afterwards. The recommended time is 1 month, and I'll usually give it two, 1 month soaks just to make sure I get everything.

So i used about 24 oz of ipa to soak my 10g of caapi in. Do i have to dump all 24 oz of menstrate on my 1g freash leaf? I've been doing this all day and it seems the leaves are pretty much soaked and all i am doing is pouring more menstrate on the leaf to evaporate just to evaporate it. Are more Alkaloids actually infusing the leaves as the ipa is evaporating?

Yes, By doing that you'r actually making 11x caapi since your evaporating 10 grams worth of cappi on to one. If I were you I would do a few soaks if your short on time. Definitely at least do more than one. IPA isn't the best solvent for harmalas but it should work okay.

Thanks dreamwalker. I actually discarded my first batch of 10g leaf. I have multiple batches soaking though, that i will drain and re-soak though.
