Rewind to the year 2002/2003, living with my gf, going out to alot of raves(hate that word), mainly techno. We were taking alot of mdma & lsd every weekend, and our fare share of coke during the week. candyflipping hard to techno is just amazing btw
The downers that followed were not as amazing
One day im looking for techno vinyls at a store in JHB, i come across some mushroom record, take a listen and am blown away by what im hearing, like what was always looking for. This psytrance music that id just listened to was just right for my mindframe.
I got into DJ'ing psytrance at local JHB outdoor party's, and along with the music I met a whole new culture. A culture where the imaterial things didnt pave the way for success and happiness, unlike the majority of our mankind. So I meet alot of "freaks". I started taking less and less mdma and coke, and mpore LSD and mushrooms.
This music also drew me towards entheogens, I did some research, read some t.mkenna and heard about this dmt stuff, that said to give you an experinec that one would only recieve when either being born or dying
I happen to find one of the regular freaks at a party that is quite knowledgabe about this stuff, I go over to his house one day and he shows me his grass that he was growing to extract dmt from, I think, wow that seems easy. So this dude has cacti, phalaris, salvia and a few others im sure growing aound his spot. He pulls out 2 hits of dmt for me. Im like hell ye, finaly I can try this stuff.
I go home, tell my wife(then gf) that ive finaly found it, she isnt to happy. With all the "weird oh's/freaks" we met along the way she was concernd that I would turn into a madman. Icould wait to try it out.
I load up my little bong with some tobaccothen sprinkle the DMT ontop. Ive been told to slowly pull the heat from the flame and not to burn the DMT. Guess what, I burned it, both times. Maybe I got a little buzz, but nothing like what ive read about.
I look into doing my own extraction and find that tek on erowing, the one that take like a month or so, I think fuck it, too much work.
I forget about DMT till just before I joined here, living in a diffierent country, the situatin now different and I look into DMT again. This time I find a much easier way to extract it, mimosa
I read up on the marsefold tek, i get all ingredients together, while getting all the equipment I find 100g mimosa(junge high brand) at my local headshop. Im so amped to extract it I even payed like £20 for the 100g. I do the marsefold tek. I follow it to the t, il never forget that moment when I looked in the freezer, those little patches of "snow" just blew me away, nearly fell back when i saw them. Again the missus isnt to happy, but she see's that its what I want so she eventualy shows support.
The first vapeIm sitting in our livingroom, my wife next to me on the couch. Ive loaded up 50mg in my "meth pipe" and start heating it with my torch. It mealts, and a few moments later I start to inhale, ore rip, hold, second one, hold, I feel something and think ok maybe ive had enough. I hand the pipe to my wife, sit back and close my eyes.....BAMMMMM!!!!
I am looking at some sort of wall of bright fractal geometry, how can it be I think to myself, and then this female figure apears infront of me, all I could really see was from the waist down, but I knew it was female, she also had like a cheeky kind off attitude. My only thoughs right then were, wtf? how can this be? is it even possible? with a huge smile on my face
That is prolly when I came along to the Nexus.
Now I dont use coke or MDMA anymore, maybe some mdma for a special ocassion
DMT, Mesc, Caapi, LSD are my main means of dreaming
So ya, that about all I can think of right now for the Nexus, thanks to all members here who have made this place what it is, and for the impact it has had on my life.
