MMPA the enthobotanist here to divulge his intro essay.

I have this interesting inclination to psychedelics. I love to let people experience them, help them, show them a new world, but I myself have not used them much. My path starts with a seed. Through the nurturing of plants, I make sure it has the ability to live, grow and thrive so that once it has grown, I can now ask the plant to give back to someone else by giving that person a chance to see a new life, be nurtured and harvest their own meaning of life by the same plant which I grew. It is a satisfying feeling to know that I can provide for someone a life-changing experience because of my help.

Plants of interest which I have grown or tried to grow are Brugmansia (Angel Trumpet), HWBR, San Pedro, Hoodia, Kanna (Sclectium), Passionflower, and Miracle Fruit. I certainly want to in the future work with plants such as Morning Glory, Damiana, Iboga and any other suggestions of interest from forum users. In the near future I have plans with Mimosa Hostilis (seeds ordered already Woot!), Lotus and mushrooms of different variety.

There is just a relationship with entheogenic plants that gives me such an appreciation for them that I want to work with them so that I can in turn experience or give the experience to someone. Any hobbyist or grower knows the satisfying feeling of growing plants. I myself have had experience with only HWBR, but all of those experiences were good and a teacher to me. Yes, in time I will experience ALL psychedelics (yes, the plan is all), but for now I'll take is slowly but surely. I do have a wide range of knowledge of psychs though since I'm a research addict and always like to learn new info about all this stuff. So, MMPA here, just wanted to put my word out. Thanks for hearing me.

(Oh, uh, I'm a sound engineer/music producer, so...yeah, that's usually what I do.)

Hey MMPA i feel the same way about growing plants. self sustainability is the way to go!
i have various strains of organic Mj aswell as a sanpedro, catnip (for my kitty) and a veggie garden full of delicious nutritious vegetables. enjoying the fruits of your labour is extremely satisfying. i think that more people should cultivate their own plants and vegetables. its cheeper, healthier and much more enjoyable than buying them.

i also produce music. i use a combination of FL and cubase,

what do you use? and what do you make?
peace!

Sustainability for the win. I've heard catnip makes a great energetic tea, you might be interested in trying that out. I have yet to do my own vegetables yet, only have a couple of trees. I'm starting a mango one and I've been growing a loquat tree for a year now (delicious yellow fruit, taste like grapes but with a tang, also makes for nice liquor additive). But yeah, definitely tastier than store-bought foods.

I use FL Studio for most of my productions but I am gradually getting more and more into Logic. I've used Reason (best synths there) and Reaper. I make all genres mostly because I like to try and expand my ability to make different things but I enjoy making electronic the most.

(Ignore my most recent work's mastering, I haven't mastered it yet.)

Material Titles?
I figured the colors would make it a little more attractive to read.

Don't worry, I use general computer speakers too, you can still make good music with what you've got (I routed my computer sound through a stereo system so I make my music with that).

You might be interested in using Synth1/z3ta in place of Massive. I've never had the pleasure of using Massive but I use Zeta+ and it's pretty darn dandy, very powerful.

However minimal it is, it's still helpful. Thanks for that. I always thought it was entho- because I think of entheogen and how it relates to plants. Thanks.

By the way, I found a cactus today! I haven't identified it yet, but I doubt it's any entheogenic properties and is probably just a normal store-bought cacti, but who knows yet.

Ha ha, one of the reasons i joined the Nexus. You think something, or already know it, and at the next click you see someone saying it. Things like this give me the happy smiles. MMPA, exploration has no limits, because there are no limits, and please let us know how the cacti turned out.

Alienteaparty, thanks for sharing your music, it's awesome, Tribas Objection is still banging my speakers, good thing it's on autoplay and i don't need to click the play button everytime the track would stop Smile

Quick note re the difference between ethno and entheo
Ethno relates to people (ie ethnocentric, ethnic etc) it's the field of study of plants used by people (essentially for medicinal/spiritual purposes these days)
Entheo is a combination of two Greek words - En (within) and theo (god - eg theology etc)
An entheogen is any substance used to find the 'god within' (and I've seen argued as being different from purely psychoactive substances)

It's actually Cliff's notes, referring to the old-school study guides.
