I'm a 28 year old software engineer. Prior service military, but not I work on a defense contract. I avoid any kind of drug that is illegal, but like to experiment with anything legal.

I've been playing with kratom extraction lately, and i'm having trouble identifying an alkaloid I extracted off today. I had seen so many extraction guides on here, I though this would be the place to come. I did an extraction and one alkaloid I separated off in its freebase form was a red oil and comprised about 1-2% of the crude extraction by volume. Back in acidic form it was a yellow totally odorless liquid, it was extremely clear. I'll be more detailed later when I can post, this probably isn't the best place for it.

Hi headedtomexico,

Welcome to the Nexus!

You might want to check the advanced/enhanced chemistry section https://www.dmt-nexus.me...t.aspx?g=topics&f=26

or other psychoactives https://www.dmt-nexus.me...t.aspx?g=topics&f=14

Though you cannot yet post in those areas (you can after promotion from the Nursery area) you can look around. You might find some helpful information, for example on how to set up liquid chromatography (or something similar - I'm no chemist) at home to help to begin to identify mystery alkaloids.

Regardless, great to see another smart, serious person checking out the Nexus. Again, welcome!
