Hello everyone,

It seems Chaliponga isn't cultivated a great deal outside of its native habitat, let's change that Smile.
I've finally managed to find some seeds via ebay. search chaliponga and go to soul sh a m a n's page (spaced for google searches).

What sort of environment does Chaliponga need to grow?

Too bad. That's what I thought.

Is there a plant similar with 5-MeO-DMT in it that doesn't need high humidity?

Some of the grasses have 5-meo in them and they have a pretty extensive grow range.

I've not heard of anyone having a good experience with the grasses yet though. Most people report lots of unpleasant side effects.

It’s definitely something to look into though. I imagine the side effect producing compounds could probably be removed if the right technique is used.

SWIM has some phalaris brachystachy and seeds for aquatica and the arun one...the brachy grows wonderfully...and supposedly high in spice content but not 5meo...SWIM has yet to figure out a good technique for extraction...but finally has some time to figure it out..

These seeds have been shown to be fake.

It's gonna be hard finding the true type species, and a good strain...

We NEED Diplopterys cabrerana in cultivation!!!

Look!

yeah.. the unwanted side effects probably come from the alkaloid hordenine which is contained in some of the grasses. it is supposed to be VERY unpleasant. on the other hand that info is kind of old.. i have been reading about hordenine being used very much in the body building industry for loosing weight and keeping it off.

Hordenine? In grass? I've only heard of it in a few cacti, namely Lophophora and a few of the other "Lost Peyotes".

oh man..seems like a lot of work...would acetone work for the defat...SWIM would rather use a solvent that was easy to get and cheap...hexane is expensive..and acetone is a little bit..but its easier to get..

otherwise SWIM could do that RIGHT now..what would you recommend for the acid? he has citric, fumaric, and vinegar...and soon will also have some phosphoric(10% solution)

yeh.. one should definitely experiment with grasses. haven't heard about gramine i just know that it contains hordenine and is therefore not really good for ayahuasca addmixture. i have read somewhere on deoxy that some dude made an alcohol extract of some grass and he entered elfspace through it.

No it is way too polar. First it mixes with water. Secondly it almost certianly will pull out the alkaloids.

I always like the phosphoric acid, seems to do the job quick and easily. No smell, and really not very dangerous.

Toulene/Xylene should very good at defatting. I know Xylene is dirt cheap.
